It's amazing how much INAV has come on over the past 12 months. I'm waiting on a little OLED to put on one of my models. It's really nice being able to look at GPS status and other info on a tiny screen. The display only weighs 4g too!

I would have thought 20C Lipo's would have been enough juice, helluva way to find out on a maiden but you were cautious and kept it over land. Maybe 4S for the big bird in big winds?

Yes 20C has always been fine in the past. Pretty sure it's a dodgy cell

Another good video.... I had my first fixed wing flight and maidened my e-flite timber today but the fields were so wet and boggy down near Breakwater. No crashes, but a few soggy landings.... Flying fixed wing is so much harder than multi rotor !

Andrew Newton Ya know...ive heard that the Inav can be used with flight controllers that are very similar to the flight controllers that I use on my mini quads....just have to add the GPS. That's fine and dandy but I think the flight controllers would be slightly more difficult to instal in a plane/wing. That's why I'd really like to have the unit that you have....so, I'm waiting.

Haha, I usually don't worry about the wiring, this one just happened to be neat. Battery was fully charged and came down with 11.4V, must have been breaking down under load.

Hi Andrew, nice. I'm preparing a fixed wing FPV with the Paris Sirius. I would like to ask you a question : if I use an external BEC (not the one from the motor controller) should I cut the +Batt signal from the motor ESC BEC to avoid some of the noise coming up from the ESC?

That is correct Paul. Cut or pull out the 5V red wire from the ESC connector. Not good to have two different 5V wires connected to the Paris Sirius.

I'm stuffing my Inav/FPV gear into a world models Piper J3 EP. That would help, especially for the gains (ANGLE, ALTHOLD, HEADING HOLD). Thanks.

Sorry Paul, I dont have the Skyhunter any more and didn't keep the CLI dump. I would have used the stock gains but maybe reduced the expo from 0.7 to 0.3

Andrew Why you are not using inav OSD on that flying control board.? The battery voltage can be more precise.

Thank you for replying im in the 1.9.1. Config and used cli command to switch to v tail now i just copied most of your info, just wish I had known how limited the functionality would be and setting up sbus should be cake, but I have always used dsmx lol smh.. Thanks hope to hear back

Nice job Andrew....I think you should ask Gearbest to send you an L9R receiver.....Then you can really stretch her legs. Standard RXs are only really good for a couple of Kms or so, sometimes less. Doesn't that headset have diversity..? You may need a directional on your VRX, or better still, do Like I do on 5.8G and use a pair of them. Good job you didn't get too far downwind, sounds like a bad cell on one of those Lipos maybe?

Haha, I can see that, but I go weak at the knees when I see the CarbonBird logo. It's the best gear I have used.
