As a necromancer main 100% true. You summon skeletons, summon a golem was some random blue piece of gear and eventually throw bone spears until you run out of mana. Also the scream tree was funny.

Vanilla D2 was badass we all had random yellows and for the first 3-4 months i was the only sword 🗡️ and shield 🛡️ barb it was awesome owning everyone except the iron maiden curse wich did get nerfed. I found soo many 310+ dmg lances in flayer jungle my favorite place to magic find i has 100s of SOJs 😂 than LOD came out and everyone had the same items and the was never as good ever again very unfortunate all of the legendary players left i was the best pvper and stayed for a little bit but it got old AF the uniqueness was gone LOD ruines D2 big time
