The market is correct. If you get 200 miles, you are lucky. And there have been a series of serious faults, like the battery pack being faulty and allowing water ingress, and heat pump failures, which happen for EVERY car, but you have to wait for three months to get a fix, which means the car is not drivable in winter. It's crap. That's why it's cheap.

I can somewhat agree as I bought my Taycan Turbo S as a CPO with only 13k miles for what I thought was a steal. The car has depreciated by nearly $30k in terms of wholesale value in less than 6 months. Granted, I absolutely love the car but I’ve had some changes in family dynamics since my purchase and I am having a lot of trouble stomaching the loss I would take if I were to try and sell right now. 😕

Buying an EV that isnt limited release is just going to be a terrible asset. The tesla model s plaid was 160k last year and now 89k. Model 3 is 20k. Biggest cost of owning a tesla is depreciation. Every average joe in the world has one its like a poor mans sports car now, its over saturated. Talk about depreciating assets at a historic rate. Porsche isnt as bad but no EV for me. Except maybe the Hummer

I have just picked up a 2022 taycan cross turbo for equivalent dollar price of £94,000!!!. It is immaculate witg 2year warranty and 6 year 100,000 miles battery guarantee. By the way it will do 265 miles NOT 201 miles and will charge up to 2.5 times the speed of any tesla

Buying any used EV is problem, they depreciate hard because eventually they will be outperformed by future EV’s and the reliability isn’t expected to be that good.

Yea but any vehicle that’s $165k and now 4 yrs old you can buy for $110k any vehicle so that’s nothing special it’s aged and that was the first year it had major issues in 2020. The deals are the 2020 4S they are $75k all day and some are certified pre owned which is what you always buy with a 4yr old Porsche if the original warranty has expired those were $135k new and have dropped
