Released in 1994, so yeah it's a "classic" now, but Heartwork is absolutely timeless! Also, Michael Amott from Arch Enemy used to be in Carcass, though Bill Steer recorded all the guitars on this album. You can still hear the influence in AE though!

I'm unsure about that claim. I have never heard about that before. At this point in Carcass career Amott was a full time member and what reason would it be to not have him play on this album? Besides, you can clearly hear the differences in style in the solos between Bill and Michael.
