I like the looks. However, for 2025 I would like to see the following improvements/changes: get rid of the CVT, place the gas tank of the right side of the vehicle, add a panoramic sun roof. Also, in the 2003 Infiniti FX35 I once owned, I like that the passenger side power seat buttons were actually placed not on the side of the seat, but on the top left side of the seat, right of the centre console. I found that placement super convenient as it's the little things that make a big difference. Another thing I would change is to make that console dual top/bottom screens one single long screen. This was smooth the look out. Anyway, cheers to a 2025 model! :)

Hi Lauren, love all your car videos. Can you address one very big concern for me. I keep my vehicles for many years. Turbo engines worry me as they don't seem to have good long term reliability. This is a big reason why I'm looking at an Acura MDX (V6 ). What's your thoughts on this issue? Thank you.

In my personal experience (2015 Nissan Juke NISMO RS). As long as you're good with keeping up with the normal maintenance (oil, transmission fluid, rear diff, etc...) changes. I've had a great experience. I still drive my '15 Juke and like you keep my vehicles for an extremely long time. I still drive my '00, '04', and '12 vehicles with no issues.

Nice looking. Whether considering a crossover, hatchback, suv, mini suv or sedan, most vehicles imv, should at least be or have a 'hatchback' model-option, they can almost always be somewhat concealed into the overall design, and I've seen some awesome sportcars that are hatchbacks, they are so handy and more versatile than vehicles with just 'trunks' . The trunks usually have passthroughs for skis etc, but would be better with lots of passthrough room, and the hatch (suv or hatchback) does provide a little to a lot of shade depending on model and sun's orientation.

Nice exterior design. Interior could be updated. But Infiniti lost me at the CVT (you can hear how loud the tranny is in the video). Such a nice looking car with a terrible transmission. Good informative video, but I feel you downplayed the problematic CVT with your praise of its exterior styling (I'm still a Car Coach fan).

@ksorsomeplace3 ай бұрын
@@selwynmontgomery9926 There were no recalls. I had it for about 12,000 miles. It never did attain the 28 mpg highway number. Best I got was around 27 mpg. Handles well. I thought it rode well. I did not experience any electronic issues. Very comfortable on long trips. The main thing I didn't like was that the engine revs around 2300 rpm at 70 mph. This makes it responsive, but at the expense of fuel economy/range. Passes well, though. I changed the oil every 5000 miles.

This car looks fantastic sitting on the curb. Then you get inside and it falls apart. 2015 called and wanted its infotainment stack back along with those analog gauges - sorry, but I love my all digital dash in my 2023 vehicle. 😮 And, on top of the interior shortcomings, as I heard on another channel, an Infiniti is just “a gussied-up Nissan” which pales in terms of quality to Toyota and Honda. This is a classic, “looks aren’t everything” car.

Have been driving Nissans and Infinitis since 1997, have had high mileage cars and no issues, even with the CVTs, no argument on Toyotas reliability, at least the ones made in Japan these days. The only issue I have with all these digital screens is they are going. To be costly when they fail as with most things on modern cars.

@Macsleuth have you had any electrical or cooling issues with your Nissans? I couldn't believe after Renault bought a large share of Nissan which my truck happens to be, quality went down substantially. So many cheap parts from Asian countries. Such as Japanese owned ND bought a Chinese coil company, faulty transmission oil cooler in the radiator, faulty heater plumbing in engine bay, bad power window motor, faulty south Korean clock spring, noisy brakes, rust on roof, thin paint flaking on hood, missing tailgate parts, drive draft center bearing premature wear, cd player failure, I can't remember the rest. And this is only one vehicle. While my 93 Nissan pickup has zero problems.

The moment you said CVT. I was like again infinity dropped the ball on this. What a shame and what were they thinking, they Just ruined this nice looking Car/SUV. You would think they learned from their past mistakes but I guess not. I put $100 down that this SUV will have transmission failure first year who ever owns it. RDX should have been first because that matches the horse power to this car, the other SUV's have a lot more horse power and better handling. Acura RDX is 100 times better, it actually uses real transmission and not CVT, has more sporty dynamics and legendary SH-AWD. for $60,000 top of the line SUV doesn't even offer digital cluster, I mean come on, Toyota Corolla's and Honda Civics offer full digital dash. This supposed to be luxury, the only luxury is just the brand.
