I have a 2017 Ridgeline and it is truly the best midsize truck (cruck). Many great features and we take this vehicle on most all of our trips (comfortable on long drives). We get about 24 mpg in summer and 23 mpg in winter. The trunk is a great place to store things out of sight and secured. Plus the in bed stereo and power outlets are fun and handy. A Swiss Army knife of a vehicle. An SUV with a huge trunk.

This is a true utility vehicle. Most trucks on the road never tow or see dirt. Those same owners live in the suburbs and the only time it gets work is for the weekend trips to home depot or helping g a friend move or pick up bulky items that don't fit in a sedan. The ridgeline drives like a sedan and has the usefulness of a truck. It's perfect for what it was designed to do for most people looking at a non work truck.

@bikebudha013 ай бұрын
Unless you actually need to tow over 5k, or actually rock crawl... This is hands down the best mid-size pickup you can buy. The interior is the roomiest. The back seats actually fit full size adults. The rear seats fold up in such a way that you can squeeze two full size bikes in-cab. The bed allows you to lay 4x8 sheets of plywood flat in the bed. The in-bed storage is amazing for groceries (no more grocery bags sliding around in the bed). I almost never use the tailgate in the 'traditional' way, having the tailgate swing out like a door allows for amazing access to the bed. The ride is super comfortable and quiet. I regularly get 22+mpg on the highway. In town, I'm 20+mpg. The engine is one of the few engines that is known to last 200,000 miles. Honda built quality throughout. I do wish they would have kept the older center console with armrests (what my 2022 has), as that setup is far superior to the new monster center console.

I purchased a 2024 Black Edition about 7 months ago and, although it is definitely the best midsize truck I've ever owned, and I've owned most of them, it's still a bit of a disappointment. I love the way it drives, very comfortable, but the driver assist tech is abysmal, the absolute worst I have experienced. The adaptive cruise is so slow to add speed that I consider it unsafe to use. I am required to manually intervene when I need to add speed because the system takes 2-3 seconds to even begin to add sped! This is unacceptable. Other complaints: the brakes are weak and mushy, the transmission is quirky at times and the feature set is outdated, compared to the competition, especially on the top Black Edition trim. I'm definitely pleased, overall, and I have every intention of keeping this truck long term and I expect it to be as reliable as any Honda, but having owned several Honda vehicles previously and been totally impressed by them, my expectations were high going into this purchase and this truck did not meet them.

its a comfortable roomy option for most urban users albeit somewhat overpriced. its still a dated design compared to newer midsize trucks. the tailgate is best feature but the rest is in need of a redesign with the interior, bed and new powertrain. those low wheel arches in the rear do allow for a sheet of 4x8' plywood to be loaded on top of them fairly flat but makes for a more shallow bed than others. you get some room back in the trunk but the compact spare is not worthy of the trailsport badge and hard to access if you get a flat when loaded. i doubt honda will get rid of the trunk in the next gen but the interior should see an update fairly well. id like to see a flat load floor in the back seat covering up that raised c channel which is not very dog friendly. the bed needs more power outlets as well. i hope they keep the v6 as it should get the pilot powertrain w 10 sp tranny. roof rails for a rack to carry a full size spare wouldnt hurt either in the trailsport trim with some more offroad features like skid plates, tow hooks, and bigger tires.

Are the windshields any better? My 22 windshield is by far the worst of any vehicle I have ever owned. It is full of pits and chips. 36k miles.

i think it's a simple design cue. if it didn't look like a passport up front they'd likely sell more of em. square it up a bit or something.

Was the tech on the backup camera improve… from the Hondas I’ve driven the resolution is bad comparing their camera tech to their competitors?

How did you make the headlights hyperflash like that?

This is not a bad truck but I think we all know including Honda that this desperately needs a redesign. It was fine when it came out in 2016 because it was based off that last gen pilot. Now its more related to the passport and you can tell that its aging just like the passport. However, this is still one of a kind when you think about it.

By far the best Truck so called real truck owners can't stand, Why? Because it's just better than the so called real Truck's 🇺🇸💪😁

Even though this is a midsized truck, can you compare The interior space to a full-sized truck, such as the Toyota Tundra?? Or is this Ridgeline quite a bit smaller than that, just larger than other midsizes?

They did not just put that line between the truck bed in the cab for aesthetics. That is there so that the body panels can be replaced independently in an event of a crash. It is not an aesthetic reason.

Nice but Honda! MPG!!! Give a hybrid option, give the trail sport a 1.5 inch lift with better suspension… and offer a 7,000lb tow package…. 🙏🏼
