I like it over the Rav4. Chevy finally updated the design and tech now Toyotas behind. The Toyota tax plus the fact you can never find one would lead me to get this. My only issue is that there's no hybrid option.

Agree Chev Equinox tech , upgrade is better then OLD Rav ( rip off). Rav4 is expensive with old tech and ugly.

@1976axerhand I prioritize what I want in spending my money. My 20 year old chevy Malibu is still running fine, so I'll go based on my experiences, not what ifs. Toyota has fallen out of grace recently like with the 100,000 complete engine replacement in the tundra and lexus suvs, plus the new Tacoma having rear axel issues. They aren't infallible Gods. The 90s are over. Even if you calculate repairs outside of the standard warranty, that will not surpass what you pay with the Toyota tax plus the discount you will get on the hood of the Chevrolet.

The rear plastic pieces of the center console are poorly put together. Visibly uneven. I’m assuming this is preproduction but you would think if Chevy knew this was being televised they would have fixed that! Very sloppy. Not encouraging or impressive. However, I did drive the RS version recently and I was impressed by the appearance and ride quality. The console was assembled well on the one I drove.

@6:31 like the dash no big I -PAD glued to the dash , as with most off road like ,trim models 12:37 does it need a moon roof ? when one has a roof top tent or rack cant see any thing ,like the cargo 6' floor length. I can sleep and camp out of it, good review

LOVE the look of this, then I get to the chrome on the front.. why? This isn't a Denali, this is supposed to be an off roadish vehicle. That'll definitely be a factor when I go look at one.

What I don't understand is why Chevrolet didn't call this the Z71 Equinox. They used the Z71 for the Traverse. And GMC is calling the new Terrain the AT4. This seems odd to me. I really like the Equinox Activ, but may buy the Terrain. It is similar but has the recovery hooks and is more off road oriented. Plus the front end of the Terrain looks cleaner. One thing I like on the Chevy is the orientation of the large screen. It's just like my Z71 Traverse. Hard decision to make, but I have until Spring to decide when they release the AT4 Terrain. The GMC will be more expensive, but they always have equipment that Chevy doesn't offer. And I'm already tired of seeing that green color. Chevy is using it too much.

The Rav4 and Honda C-RV have very generic interiors and not as many options as the 2025 Chevy Equinox RS. After 6 months of looking, I purchased a Loaded 2025 Chevy Equinox RS AWD for my daughter: Best Overall Vehicle in its Class.

The 1.5l is crap for power. Even with the 8 speed trans. Its still gets less mpg than previous gen with 6 speed trans and is heavier. Just get a lower trim blazer. A cvt transmission is a joke.

They did a great job with the Equinox and Terrain redesign but man what a mistake making them so underpowered. It 's the main reason I won't be buying one, that engine is trash. Worst part is the fuel economy isn't even good to make up for it being gutless.

I have 2018 equinox 1.5 Turbo. Only maintainence on the engine has been oil changes and spark plugs over 100k miles.

Get a Honda or Toyota instead, at least those won’t fall apart and depreciate quickly, the build quality in those will be far better too when compared to this, only thing this new Equinox has going for it is the large touchscreen

Look at the horrible fit and finish of the center console at 13:45. The panel gaps and misalignment on the right side is disappointing. That wouldn't happen in a Toyota or Honda.

It just seems like typical stupid GM to put all that gloss black in the front where you get most of the scratches and will look very ugly in one year.
