thank you i am a ex professional that can buff to a high end level but I would not say I can correct to a high end level but the last few months I have been getting back on the tools getting my skills back and finding a real passion to correct to a high end level you vids have been grate to remind me on the things I have forgotten and even found out new things to try thank you

Hi Sandro, I believe I have solvent pop or pinholes in my paint. I didn't notice them till after I started to correct the paint. Did I stuff up during the process? All the swirls are gone, but I now see some little dots in the clear. The car did have the bonnet repainted a few years back, can it be due to that it was painted incorrectly.

Those pinholes are normal (usually mostly found on the car bonnet), you probably just notice them more now after you’ve corrected the paint. You can largely remove/reduce them, but it means sacrificing more clear coat to cut them back.

Why I am saying that? Because you got a new polisher (so powerful and capable..) in the hand of someone like you showing us that variety of imperfections we would expect to see of other polishers from your arsenal... Hi, what a very informative and useful video. Could you please advise on a suitable hand polish that would gently remove smaller scratches and the maring that is caused over time. I currently use Autoglym's Super Resin Polish followed by their Extra Gloss Protection but find the initial filling does not last long enough so i would like to either have a go at reducing paint defects by hand or use a more aggressive all in one polish and wax (if such a product exists to permanently reduce defects). Based on what you’ve told me I think a light or medium compound such as Meguiars Ultimate compound could be a good choice for you. Great video! I cant believe how thin and soft these Japanese car clear coats are today. Are they doing this so save money, make you get paint correction while you own the car, buy a newer car sooner? This really explains why I see so many Hondas on the road with clear coat failure! Well maybe if car owners wash/wax there cars 2x per year we might not see such clear coat failure. Maybe you can do more videos on clear coat protection steps for new cars, used cars etc. Layering of waxes/sealeants after polishes and spray waxes and the best wash schedule for cars that sit outside 24/7 all seasons! Thanks!

Awesome video Sandro! Working on black Honda paint just like this. So I have some light to moderate scratches that do not go through clear coat and DA polished with HD speed and Griots correcting cream with orange hex logic pad. Removed 80% light swirls and scratches but a few moderate ones that won't buff out. Do you think a microfiber cut pad will do it?

I'm binge watching your channel! Question, will claying a ceramic coated car create marring or micro-scratching? Most research I've done says that claying the paint will create marring, but haven't found any info on claying a ceramic coated car.

Any sort of abrasive type product or process will tend mar a coating to some degree, it may not be much depending on the hardness of the paint the coating is sitting on, but it will to some extent.

Very difficult to chase perfection on this paint. So soft I lighty scratched the paint while buffing off polish. BTW do you have a name for slightly small round clear coat defects that are like little circles of degrading spots? Buffing only lightens them up a bit and wet sanding still doesn't remove them completely.

Hi Sandro, How are you? Another great video & after watching it I wonder if I can pick your brain? If you remember I said my car was crashed into? Well it's back from the repair shop now & overall I'm happy with what they have done. However there's some definite holograms/haze on one panel in particular, I would say from comparing them to this video they're more holograms. They're only visible in direct sun & when I'm within 10ft of the car. Obviously I want them removed, but I thought it's something I'd rather do myself. My question is do you think S20 Black could do this on my paint? Just a reminder the car is a 2007 FN2 Honda Civic Type R and I'm almost certain the paint is the stereotypically soft type. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated as it always has been.

Car Craft Auto Detailing Thanks Sandro! 👍 I didn't think about what paint they would have used to repair the car with, that's a very good point. That's why you're the pro! lol I was so happy just to get the car back especially as I was driving around in a 1.1L Mitsubishi Colt for two weeks as a courtesy car lol Thanks again! P.S. An idea for a video... Correcting a car in bad conditions. Most of us won't have a garage ect. & although you have been through in other videos what to do like work in the morning or evening in shade. What if you had no choice but to work in bad conditions & what the best sun friendly products are in them conditions even if it means the finish will be a little compromised. I will be getting up early & working in the best conditions I can, but where I now live at this time of year there's no shade meaning I'd have a limited window of time to work in the morning, enough to decontaminate the car & get it clean in the morning & then correct it in the evening. I also have to think about the neighbours & the noise from the DA polisher in particular. Just a thought 🙂
