Hi Sandro. Long time listener first time caller. It's not just that you are a vastly talented detailer that has people such as myself watching and waiting for each new video. It is the fact that you so eloquently convey what you are thinking at the time in such a manner as to convince us all to pay attention and try harder when working on our own cars. It is also the fact that you can so obviously see the countless hours that must go into video and sound editing, hours that no doubt you are spending in your own time and you are not spending with family and friends. True passion my friend, and I am sure that other besides myself see and respect this in you. From the heart thank you. You have nudged this 50+ year old into putting more care into my own detailing. I have gone from thinking a wash and wax was looking after my paint a few years ago, to completing my first ceramic coating a week ago after a painstaking attention to detail preparation. Once again, thank you for leading me on this journey, it is deeply appreciated.

Same here! I found Sandro a few years ago and have detailed my cars to near-showroom thanks to his amazing videos. It’s become almost like meditation.. well, as close as someone like me can get anyway. My Dad maintains his and my mum’s cars, and she recently gave me her 2002 WRX. Always garaged, vacuumed and hand washed.. nothing else. I did a full paint restoration and apart from the odd annoying paint chip, she looks like she fell out of a time machine. I was able to do this not just because Sandro showed me how, but because he explained why as well. Anyone can rub a product on something, but only Sandro explains prep, tests resistance & longevity, rates everything from cheap stuff to high end, the list goes on. Once you find this channel, there’s really no need to bother with others. I can’t even think of a subject he hasn’t already/repeatedly covered in detail. 🏆

i’ve always stressed dusting before wet cleaning stage to other detailers. not only the cleaning factor and the diminishing of possible aggression the aggregate can have on the panels, but it makes the wet cleaning stage a lot easier and produces a much better result in my opinion. It makes it easier as trying to wet clean around loose dirt and debris just flings it everywhere and i find myself putting more effort into trying to contain the debris in my cloth then banging my rag outside to get it out of my cloth instead of simply wiping around the things i’m really wanting to focus on Furthermore, i’ve found that once dust that’s settled on the dash/other horizontal surfaces mainly gets wet, it’s very hard to remove, and will eventually end up remaining on the dash/other.

Sandro, Golden episode once again. Absolutely agree on the recommendation to vacuum pet hair again before calling it done. Such an annoying part of detailing to deal-with, and even more so when you know it’ll return to hair-fest the next day… For carpets and mats, I enjoy using a 5” diameter drill brush extension. I treat the surface with a product from my hometown (Aero Cosmetics interior cleaner) which chemically opens the fibers up. The drill brush after lifts everything out, and then I vacuum. It’s relatively cheap and effective. Just make sure to turn the torque down on the drill. Too much speed can destroy anything in short order, and then you have an entirely different task ahead of you…

I personally rip right through the vacuuming process with unbelievable results in very little time using the Tornador Velocity Vac tool. There is nothing worse than seeing dirt particles reappear after you've already extracted and thought you were done. This tool gives me peace of mind I've removed as much of the dry soil as possible before adding water to the equation. It also does awesome with pet hair removal!

Hey Sandro, I need to add some humour to all our honest and thankful comments: you forgot to mention - Ikea bag which you have shown is an essential part of the interior detailing kit)))))))))) As you know I am working with my own cars only and thanks God they are far away from this condition, but I have done some friend cars and well, well, well - I had the same issue with collecting all the stuff to a bag to deliver back to the owner))) I didn't know how great CarPro's inside clener and CarPro's interior scrub are before I have used them for my friends cars - now they are must have for me even for my own cars. Regarding the GTR - great car Sandro, I am sure it came out fantastically nice looking and looking much younger from it's age. Video - this is simply great, I love how you are doing this and I am admire of your skills filming an interior (in this particular video). Not everyhody got how difficult it is to have correct angle, view, light and work there as well. Really great outcome Sandro and what I see you are going further up in your quality. Thanks for sharing Sandro!!! Cheers from snowy Sweden.

The IKEA bag came with the car lol, but my wife also has a few of them - maybe they’ll be the next big thing in interior rubbish collection. I’m really glad you enjoyed this video and filming interiors a without blocking the camera is definitely a bit of a process! Take care my friend.

Beautiful job. I've done a couple of interiors now and on cars of people I know, some of which haven't seen a vacuum cleaner in years. My Bissell hotspot cleaner was the best purchase but what i've been missing is an interior scrubbing pad thing that looks like it would take out so much of the work getting into the grain of the plastics that a soft brush just can't do on the more ingrained grease etc. As a hobby I'm not on the clock but that is what would kill me. I tried it last time and to get all i wanted in two days even with 8 hour days I didn't get there (no time to add a glaze ot the exterior so had to substitute, However I don't stop until I'm happy with my results but my word did those interiors take a long time. And I've also noticed I'm way too stingy with the old 303 which is why i've had to go over it twice - I also didn't leave it to all soak in, just 20 seconds and wipe over. Nuggets of gold as usual and I learned loads. Thanks as always for these uplopads and the time taken to share your wealth of knowledge and experience, your edits remain the quality of your detailing.

Hi Sandro, Fantastic walkthrough again, thanks for sharing. Maybe you mentioned in one of your previous videos, but a curious question: why don't you remove the seats when cleaning the interior?
@CarCraftAutoDetailing
@CarCraftAutoDetailing Жыл бұрын
Thanks mate and I just find that with my brushes, vac, steamer and blower there’s little I can’t achieve that I would otherwise removing them. Electric seats on new cars are also getting insanely heavy and trickier to remove, just be careful you don’t scrap and damage the surrounding trims or door jambs or hurt your back in the process and make sure you know the torque specs to safely secure them back in - you don’t want to be responsible for something going wrong during an unfortunate car accident.

Hi Sandro. Really enjoy your content. What size is your compressor? The Tornador is a thirsty beast, so want to ensure I get an adequate compressor. My 50L capacity compressor isn’t particularly good at catering for this.
@CarCraftAutoDetailing
@CarCraftAutoDetailing Жыл бұрын
Thanks and LPM (litres of air per minute) is the most important spec for running most air tools. I currently use and air compressor at the shop with a 150L tank and about 500LPM. For the Tornador alone, you don’t necessarily need that much but half of that - about 250LMP would be ideal as a starting point.

There’s exceptions, I really like Perl on a lot of 70s 80s & early 90s cars, it seems to match and enhance those materials better, but I prefer 303 on most modern interiors and every now and then Perl just seems to dislike certain vinyls and plastics not finishing evenly, while I don’t seem to every have that use with 303. But overall I really like them both - Perl is also a favourite tyre dressing.
