I’d love to hear your thoughts on this board vs the Powgoda, not just from obvious powder differences, but overall riding from a daily driver perspective. Is powgoda more for the surfy, fun turns, or even icy days- but GOAT is great for super big bombs/cliffs?

Yep. Much more taper, set back on board and set back camber so the Powgoda rides from the tail much more than the Goat. Yep, It rides more sufy/slashy. Goat rides more like a big mountain tapered directional twin and yep...what you said. Both grip super well in hard snow. They aren't full on ice specialists but can for sure hang in icy snow.

I'll be looking at this board if I'm unhappy with my Weston Ridgeline 25.

That's a great board. More stiff/damp than the Goat and has a little more set back on board too. I think you will be happy with it. Both brands make great boards.

I'm 42yrs old. Been riding now for 32 years. I picked up the 22/23 DOA. It was the closest thing to my 2017 Ride Mchette GT that I really enjoy riding. After riding the DOA for the second year, I'm finding its almost too aggressive for my riding. If your getting tired and sloppy, it's easy to catch an edge. I'm starting to realize that every new season I'm just not able to ride as hard as I did in the past. I'm really just coming to terms that my body is wearing out from years of ranching, hockey, MTB and Snowboarding. I love riding on Piste runs like a terrain park (side hits) and riding as fast as my body will allow. What is a good board in your opinion for a middle aged man like myself who still wants to ride like I did in my 20s just not as hard and aggressive?! Cheers 🍻

Maybe something like the Navigator or Kazu with just a mellow camber between the bindings and then rocker instead of flat like the DOA. You gave me a lot but not ebough to make good reccomendations. Would need boot size, height, weight and where you mainly ride.Also need the size DOA and Machete you rode. If you want to do this right hit me here so I can help properly. shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/

Is the crane or goat better if I wanna ride both park and freeride but a slight prefernce to freeride
@thegoodridesnow2 ай бұрын
Really depends on what you do in the park but generally Crane is better for park and freeride/mountain riding. Goat works too but is more tapered and directional.
