The deck flip is indeed a very difficult move. The cards flipping out is a tough problem to fix. It can happen for several reasons. The top or bottom card of the deck may be slightly bent, and this creates a pocket of air so that card flips out, or maybe the finger positioning you are using needs to be slightly adjusted. Keep practicing and experimenting eventually you will learn what was causing it and how to fix it. - Asad

Thank you so much!!!! I have been looking for the cut that was done on Penn and Teller "Fool Us" for awhile. It's the one where the four A's are pulled out of the deck for the first time. I realized he doesn't do the ending of this cut that you are showing, but he does do the beginning part right before the last Ace when picking up the deck in the "Seesaw" move. I knew it started a certain way, but it was so short and for obvious reasons only the top card needed to be kept in place. With only that needed he never needed to bring back around the bottom and mid packs. Thanks so much!!!!

Hey iv'e made a slight variation on this where after you do the last deck flip into your right hand you do a full deck flip back into your left :) i'm left handed but i do a lot of the actions with the right handed method as it is difficult to find a left handed teacher. hope this slight change is useful/ pretty :D

Tip: Don't think of the closing "flip" action as a TG Murphy deck flip with a packet, think of it as an Instant Replay card shot with a packet. Learn the instant replay card shot and apply it with a full packet. It really helps to have this mindset and it might make the move easier. Thank me later.

@blackcat4283 Adjust your flipping finger under the deck either closer or further to your middle gripping fingers. This gives it less time to get drag on that card at the bottom. Well, that's how I've found it, I just adjust my positioning accordingly.

@Moizjehangir i understand what you mean, but i think he's right. such a little flourish like this doesn't make any damage. in fact, i actually figured it out just by seeing the performance. i don't think it's ok if he reveal a trick, i think it's a little bit different, but this is just a little false cut, but i understand what you are saying, hope you understand me :)

It was the same for me,keep practicing, now i got used to it,and I can control it whenever I want to use it as a card reveal! :D I don't know how exactly, but from what I know the card flying away was the bottom card, giving me the illusion it was the top card so for me the problem was coming from my three fingers on on the right side of the deck, lightly blocking the bottom card.Hope that helped you!

@oldmanin21 well i personally suggest the dragon back cards (I think asad will agree). In my opinion, you shouldnt get any of the karnival decks, they arent that good. they get really "Dry" for some reason. I also really like the black raider deck. the cards have a good thickness to them. Also, for a collection purposes, the black arcane deck is very good too. I havent gotten that much of a good response to them tho, they are too dark and spectators will keep on saying that they didnt see it.

+vernonclassic Get off your high horse. You do realise there are 7 billion people on this planet don't you? If you really are a full time magician, then you will know that these "exposure" videos on KZbin have done fuck all to ruin ANY full time magicians act. Most of the videos on here are looked at by people who have an interest in magic, (like you, and me) and if you think when you release some magic to the community it won't get pirated or copied in some way, then you're very much mistaken. I released an effect around 3 years ago, just a mediocre effect that did OK, but if I released that expecting it to never get shared or copied, I'd have been disappointed. This guy is skilled and wants to share and get people interested, get into the 21st century and realise that some of our future great magicians will have picked up the interest from videos like this.

+vernonclassic Cool story, bro. Not everybody has to be a professional magician in order to enjoy magic. It's people like Asad who are keeping it alive. Don't get me wrong, I like magic a lot, but with new technology and sources of entertainment coming out every day, there is less and less of an audience. It's not the way it used to be where if you wanted to see a show you actually had to buy tickets and see it live. Now you can watch almost anything from the comfort of your couch.
