If you wanted to record the audio from your Cardo too *(Clear audio / not from the mic picking up the speakers in the helmet)* you can add 1) a *breakout cable* for your Gopro , converting the single mic into 2 , 1 for your mic and another from your Cardo audio 2) a *splitter* for your Cardo , splitting the audio output into 2 , 1 which is for the regular connection to your helmet mic and speaker , the other to connect to your gopro (since it has 2 input now). In Post / editing , you can adjust the audio of your gopro footage independently , since the mic and Cardo has independ audio now ( If you use a breakout cable) .

If you have a GoPro 8 or newer get the Media Mod. It's so much better than that old audio adapter. It has a 3.5mm audio jack that I hook a Purple Panda mic up to. In addition, it has a USB-C port that you can plug an external battery pack into. GoPro batteries are notoriously weak, so by mounting a battery pack to your helmet (mine is in the back), your GoPro can go for hours and hours. Ultimately though, there needs to be a good way to tie the GoPro audio and PackTalk audio together without a million splitters and cables as found on some KZbin videos.

Connect to camera via another Car do Packtalk. That then records all of group conversations, not just the rider. Camera can then be mounted as desired.....

Why do we need to have two mics inside the helmet... why can't we just use the boom mic from the cardo...

I know this is a year old but after you take the door off my microsd clip won’t stay in without that little door.

He had a gopro 7. I have a gopro 10 and the battery won't stay in without the door on. My options are a replacement door with an opening (not waterproof) and an expensive case with a built in mic (not needed) and a 3.5mm (1/8th in) out. Neither is ideal.
