Just a friendly tip, an easier way to sync audio is to highlight both respective audio(s) right click then select "sync audio" and it will do it automatically without you having to line up or match any audio manually.

Hi Yammie! I usually never comment on youtube, but felt like I need to right now. I've been watching your content for a good while. Two months ago I decided to go all in on the bikelife, but the licence price in Norway is demotivating, so I bought myself five 50cc mopeds to flip (Rieju RS2, 2 Yamaha TZR's, 1 ATV and a Derbi GPR). I've now sold three of them with a good cunk of profit. I only have a car licence, but on friday I will start my journey on the license. Schedueled for the A2 theory exam in the morning, followed by my first driving lession on a CB500F. You've introduced me to this and I want to thank you for your content and motivation:) keep up!

On the front mount helmet setup.....I fixed my angle without flipping the camera inside down. I used the j-hook and got the extension bar. They make long and shorts and you can get them straight to straight. The original GoPro extension are 90* offset. This way I can set my lid down without the camera hanging down below the neckline. In my opinion/experience, I prefer the microphone direct to GoPro (instead of to an external recorder). Wearing a tighter jacket, maybe one without pockets, and extra buttons to be pushed accidentally while riding leaves some other possible issues later on. At first I tried recording to a cell phone with a microphone and cable and my rather snug jacket ended up tugging on the microphone jack constantly when moving positions on the bike. Sometimes there was audio, sometimes not. Also, the cable dangling from my helmet was just too much sometimes. It would get caught on the GoPro, my zippers, my headphones, my backpack, my mirrors, my gas tank, my chain (just kidding on those last few). The microphone right to the GoPro means that there is no dangling cables into pockets or backpacks and also eliminates the need to post-process. This is just my opinion but I saw someone commented about recording into a cell phone and I'd highly suggest not going that route.

At 4:20 to 4:30 your theory about the audio from the Tascam sounding better than the GoPro is technically incorrect. Yes the Lavalier microphone plugged into the Tascam sounds better but it isn't due to the Tascam unit itself. It also isn't the microphone you are speaking into. It is in fact the signal to noise ratio you are hearing. While your recording environment was somewhat quiet, unless you are in a sound stage there is always room tone or room noise that becomes your noise floor. In your case here it was pretty quiet but imagine you had an HVAC system running in the background and it was noticeably louder than the room tone you had here. If you are behind the bike but recording to your GoPro's onboard microphone ten feet away, your voice might be at the same level as the HVAC noise and you would have a poor 1:1 signal to noise ration. Again, signal is your voice, everything you don't want to record is noise. Now move the microphone (doesn't matter whether it is the GoPro or a microphone connected to your Tascam) closer to your mouth. The noise level will stay the same but your voice will record much louder. If your voice is now three times as loud as the background noise you have a signal to noise ratio of 3:1. So while you are correct in the Tascam sounding better it is because you are physically closer to it. Nobody seems to care about the technical theory but since you put out the effort to make this video I wanted to pass along the technical reason for why your audio sounded better with the Tascam. I thought you might appreciate this as you do record clean audio.

Thank you Yammie! I appreciate this alot. Even though I used to be in university for audio engineering, I never dealt with wind noise. Which is why I came here. I was thoroughly confused on it trying all kinds of stuff to try and get wind noise to a minimum at best. Now, I know what you are using. Got a Tascam on order from Amazon (with accessories package), I have my Yamaha MT-03 (cause I am a poor boy - that will change 🙏), got a GoPro Hero 8 on order (I do have a Drift Ghost XL, but image is not stabilized, which sucks, good dashcam though), got a chin mount ordered from cinmounts in Vancouver, and getting the accessories package for the GoPro ordered from Amazon. I have my Z1R Solaris helmet (which is nice for the modular setup), And Freecom 4+ with JBL Audio for music and calls. All in all, I should be set. Going to buy some extra fuzzies for my Freecom for the mic to reduce wind noise on calls with the wife and daughter. I plan to take my first motovolg from Amarillo, Texas to Dallas, Texas on the MT-03. I have a tailbag and will be using my backpack for my clothes and gear. Should be interesting. I hope to use the money to supplement college and future bills. Again, thanks for all of this. You're an awesome dude.

@rovixbs I wouldn't know what app he is using to edit. I have Ableton Live 9, FL Studio 20, FLStudio Mobile, and ProTools. But, there are others. Adobe has audio software called Audition. All of them are good. They have the same functionalities. I personally don't use Audition because it is subscription based, so you never own it, and they charge a pretty hefty price. I have used ProTools software that is 20 years old, and it does just as good as any other software. I personally like Ableton Live 9 Suite. You can create sounds using the operator built into the software. So, you don't need plug-ins to make sounds. But, they sure are nice.

If you're using the camera upside down, it seems the position is too low. Don't you want it higher so you have a sharper angle to look down at the road directly in front of the front tire? If the camera is that low, seems you're filming more toward the horizon. What do you think?

Hi Everyone. I´m an aspiring 44-year old rider, and I'm an expat in Saudi Arabia. In this particular and sooooo different country (it's not bad, just different), small-displacement bikes are very rare. It's either tiny mopeds or big bikes. And I'm in the choosing process for my first bike. Being my options so limited, I will end up probably falling for BMW because the options range is much wider. I could technically get an R310R, but it definitely won't be a keeper, and it has absolutely no reselling value. So I'm considering the RnineT Pure. My question is: Do you guys think that will be too much of a bike for a first bike? I want to start riding, but I don't want to die yet. So if it's too much I will keep searching. Used bikes are just too sketchy here so it's not an option.

basically, making videos for fun/family. Would like to take it to the next step and believe I am capable. Audio is the next step and a legit editing program. the 4K/30fps down to 1080 is awesome. First thing im going to test for videos quality while audio is being figured out.
