UT had 5 guarding 4. The UT player on the inbound at first went to defend the pass then backed off in to a neutral space void to accomplish nothing. Not sure what the deal was?

That was that girl first three pointer in her career that was the right defense. They left her open on purpose even the south Carolina coach said she would've did the same thing. Thats like letting shaq shoot a three you guard the shooters on the floor she wasn't one.

This proves my point! I've always said that during last shot time, you don't leave " EVEN THE WORST SHOOTER " uncontested because they will become a hero 90% of the time. If and when SC runs the table and wins it all, this play will be the first thing to come to everyone's mind

A long range banker for the 3 at that too. UT had an extra defender guarding 4, yet Harper was more worried about using one of their 2 time outs giving the SC coach the advantage.

I'll tell you, I don't expect Cardoso to become a 3 point threat, but if she just developed a little mid-range shot (anything other than put backs under the basket), the WNBA would be in trouble

So, that was Camila Cardoso's first 3-point Shoot attempt, and was at the Buzzer. And I think she finished with 100% rate in 3-point-shooting in the whole season.

Harper wimped out post-game in the presser. She needs to be tougher than her players if she expects to lead. She had a great mentor in Pat Summitt, who would NEVER have let a game end THAT way, or cry about it in public after. The players interviewed stronger than the coach.

UT did not want to call the time out on a 30-0 team, but this hurry up set up the defense on the fly really was a very bad coaching decision. Young basketball coaches take notes on this game.........TAKE the timeout to set up the final defense versus a 30-0 team like this.

Don't think 🤔 that warrants a firing, Tennessee fans. Remember that Kellie Harper has recently signed a long term contract so the university is tied with her or will have to dig deep into the pockets to buy her out.

Hard to tell, Jolly/Harper is within the coaching tree from Pat Summitt so they probably will not make a quick move on removal. over this. UT has talent, just the coach needs to get up to speed on priorities, timely taking the time out, or the team working on free throws more often.

That shot ( as amazing as it was) , was a fluke from Cardoso. If SC doesn’t tighten up against LSU today , a loss will be in their column.

South Carolina dodged a bullet. It didn't hurt that the Vols didn't bother to defend Cardoso. Nothing says, "we're ready to give you the victory" like a wide open shot with the game on the line. This is why Tennessee is not even a top 25 team. Not impressed with South Carolina's performance at all. If SC played any of the final four teams in the Pac-12 tournament, they would have been smashed.

This game cost Kellie Harper her job. They beat SC, and she is still employed by UT. She was coached by MY G.O.A.T. coach Pat Summitt, whose calling card was defense and rebounding. You must gaurd the player i don't care if she's not a 3 point shooter or not in that situation you gaurd her.
