@@alans1313 depends on your definition of better :-) in terms of handling the CX-60 is better. But in terms of ride and ease of use the CX-5. The ride is too firm on the 60 and the safety stuff needs to be better tuned.

@@CarExpertAus I waited for a long time for the cx60 to arrive but after watching so many overseas reviews including your sojourn to Portugal 👍I looked at what I would be getting for the extra $ and when i weighed it all up I bought the cx5 top of the range diesel, to get the same goodies in the cx60 i couldn’t justify the extra $. , 0 to 100 times are not that far apart , fuel consumption is close , if the tow capacities where 3tonne like other 6 cylinder diesel that might have got me over the line. I’m so happy with the cx5 especially after a 2500 Klm road trip over the snowy mountains , terrific car. I certainly applaud Mazda for putting out 6 cylinder vehicles, I will certainly do a couple of test drives at sone stage and you never know I might buy one in a couple of years. Love your channel I watch it often , terrific format Cheers 🍻

Great upmarket look from Mazda. I think they nailed the design both interior and exterior. The only design element I think they missed is the rear wiper design; they should have hidden it under the rear spoiler above the rear glass. Love the technology, the luxury feel, fit and finish. Your reviews are great Paul, very comprehensive. One area you miss though is cruise control accuracy over rolling terrain. My CX5 has a variation of +/-10 Kph over hilly areas, over-speeding on the crest of hills and dramatic slowing at the bottom of hills; it is so annoying. My previous car was a Renault that maintained an accuracy of +/-2 Kph over the same terrain.

These look great, and good on Mazda for giving us a rear biased in-line six 👍🏻. Frustrating however that motoring journalists insist on only ever testing the “top of the line” model. There was a perfect opportunity here with two cars reviewed to have one up spec, and one entry level. Unfortunately the choice was made to showcase both in top spec only.

I'm currently looking at used CX-60s PHEV and Diesel/Petrol Hybrids. I have done a good 100km test drive for all 3 variants for the Homura trim. My only issue is the mileage. Test drive was done with a good mix of city, B-roads and autobahn. The PHEV at full battery couldn't achieve anything below 8.8L/100km. The Petrol hybrid could do at best 7.5L/100km. The diesel on the other hand did very well at 5.5-6.0L/100Km. As for the prices for with mileage between 15-20k km on it. The PHEV/Petrol hybrid are going for 42k-46k€ but the diesel never goes below 50k. does this mean the Diesel is more desirable out of the 3? Mind you the second hand units I'm looking at are either demonstration vehicles or a jahreswagen. With all the flak diesel is getting, I would have expected it to be the cheaper one but no! It's actually the more expensive one. How is it in Australlia at the moment?

Can you (Paul Maric), please do a review on the Rimac Nevera (EV). I understand that this car is very pricey, but just want to hear your thoughts on this car. I think you will be very impressed.

It's not in Australia, and I don't think there is even one coming here - as far as I'm aware they're only made in LHD. So unless he's making a trip to Europe any time soon not going to happen.

Saw one of these in the dealership in the weekend as was looking at a CX-5 (ended up ordering a Sportage GT Line Diesel) and was honestly disappointed in the rear leg room. The silver centre console was a bit tacky looking as well (not as shown in this model). I felt like it was meant to be imposing with its huge bonnet but it honestly felt it was no more roomy then the CX5 (which feels small compared to a Sportage). It feels and looks big but really isn't inside.

Same thing went for a Tucson. Even the dealer sales person admit (there was a tucson they're trying to sell at a Mazda dealership) that Mazda is way behind in the competition with tech and features. Build quality and luxury is great but when you can't even control your car from phone and with less features in CX5, it's quite disappointing. Tucson even has bigger cargo space than CX60

I own a petrol Azami, an every thing you describe is pretty true. Except the fuel economy. Took it on a 4hour highway run with only 500 klms on it an it says it was 7.1 klms to a 100klms. Around town high 8's. With the 30 to the 40 cent price difference in diesel per litre an the $1,800 extra cost to purchase, i am glad i brought the petrol. I ran the tank down to it saying only 20 klms left but it only took 48 litres, so something not accurate with the guage. Would of had 10litres still in the tank.

You can’t judge fuel economy on a testing track. It’s not normal driving. All that hard acceleration etc. I’ve had 2 Mazda diesels. ( a 6 and a cx5). They were amazing. I’ve ordered a cx60 and it arrives next week. I can’t wait.

Can you please include a brake test for all your reviews please? Braking is as important as the 80-120kmh test if not more. It’s also more important than some of the safety features as it forms part of the active safety systems that we should know about. It will also be an eye opener to many people as usually all the heavier vehicles, utes, suv, etc will mostly perform far behind lighter vehicles and this should be a big part of the consideration when purchasing a new car.

Good car. We've had a few recent Mazda's in the family and yes the tyre life has been very good on all. Also brake pads don't produce much dust. Not kidding I've had cars needing new rubber before 20,000km.

I remember back in the mid 80s, they brought their 626, called something like that into UK. They boasted that they had done 26 different versions of the suspension and came up with their product. So the journalist dug up that the Merc did 81 versions for their 190 series before bringing to the market. I guess these days, everything can be computer simulated.

…I just hope that Mazda will sort out all the issues these cars have… refining, improving the sailing tune, the ride comfort, sound insulation etc.pp.. Still a way to go until they arrive at German Premium Brand level but I like the brand a lot, owned and MX5 which has been fantastic and definitely think that Mazda is very likable😊
