Personally, they didn't need to make that small interior upgrade, would have been better off to leave it, make it cheaper and allow the upgrade aftermarket interior to the customer. Love the car, love Patrols, i still drive the GU ZD30 Di with original 377k km on clock and still feels great, and yes used as a 4X4 not Shopping cart like some. Nissan just need to commit to Australian market and chance we will make it worth it for the better more recent interiors not just the afterthought they have done.

@@markandkim66 Actually, with this “new” interior upgrade rolled out in both the Ti and TiL at a $3000 premium, the better value vehicle is now the Ti. Both these models have lost the 360deg camera and second row A/C is downgraded. The TiL additionally has lost rear headrest video screens with Bose system now a six-speaker Infinity system. It has a cool box, 360 camera, front camera, 13 speaker sound system, surround sound theatre system with rear screens, full control of the rear aircon not just fan speed, it even has a T-il badge on the tailgate. You would have to do a far more detailed comparison to see what else is missing, a couple of phone chargers and an iPad stuck on the dash is not going to do it for me.

Can somebody kindly explain what "auto" means exactly on the 4x4 knob? Does it drive in full time 4wd mode with a center diff?
@johncanalese5882 ай бұрын
Ok, Paul and others keep saying the Y62 is “Full-Time” 4WD - technically it isn’t. To have true Full-Time 4WD you need a centre differential to supply torque to the front and rear axles - the Patrol does NOT have one! Instead it has an electrically operated clutch pack in the transfer case to supply torque to the front axle. In AUTO mode the clutch pack is normally disengaged so no torque is supplied to the front. It has sensors and a control unit to detect wheel slip, and if detected will operate the clutch pack to supply torque the front axle. When 4-Hi is selected the clutch pack is just permanently engaged all the time. When 4-Lo is selected an electric motor drives gear selection of a lower ratio in transfer case while simultaneously mechanically engaging the front axle so the clutch pack is not required. Hope this helps.
