Hi Paul, the test looked great, but there may be looming problems. My 2024 Sorento HEV failed to start at less than 3000km on the clock and less than 3 months old. It was taken to Heartland KIA at Castle Hill following a call to KIA customer service on the 17th July 2024 and is still there awaiting a body control module from Korea.(I should have ignored all of the tech for 'planet earth' and purchased a diesel) I have still not had the car returned and I am very disappointed by KIA's 'movement that does not excite'. I like driving to see family in North Queensland but I feel sure that you could not take this out of Sydney due to reliability problems. I traded a 2017 Pathfinder GL looking for better economy, what a failure. What do you think?
@gongmin984 ай бұрын
The Kia Carnival Hybrid shares the same powertrain and engine as the Sorento. I'm really looking forward to seeing a review of that. The only problem is the Hybrid version has just started to be delivered to Australian consumers and there could be only hundreds each month to Australia.😩

Are there any technical differences worth considering if choosing between this and the Santa Fe Hybrid calligraphy? Fuel consumption is a bit disappointing. Just got home from a trip to Melbourne Airpor (including the horrendous stop/start traffic there). Averaged 6.6 l/100km in our 2.2 diesel Sorento Sport. As for the pricing, crikey, does Hyundai think that it's Mercedes-Benz or something???? And sounds like it might be a bit gutless down low, too, or is it OK? The diesel has tons of grunt off the mark and from say, 60 to 80 km/h it is extremely responsive.

I would buy one, if they made those “safety “ features able to be turned off permanently at the drivers discretion. Not every time you start the car.
