Considering they're all sold out and any that pop up in the classifieds are being advertised for anywhere between £220k and £250k, its moved the GT3 RS up into a whole different bracket. For £200k you can buy a lightly used Ferrari F12 Berlinetta with a 730bhp V12 or for £230k a low mileage Aventador LP700-4, or even a 1500 mile Mclaren 650S for £160k. You've really got to want that GT3 RS to fork out well over £200k for it.

+ETIMOSLAETUS This a very good track car and GT3 is also close to being a track only car. Thing is Ferrari doesn't make track only cars. Even their lighter version cars like Speciale can be comfortable on road and has to look good and not be just about performance. If track driving is your thing then there are many cheaper track cars for that, and faster. That is why Ferrari doesn't put a lot of big wings and extreme aero parts on their cars as Porsche does. Ferrari uses more modern active aero parts such as flaps that are more suited for a modern sports car. But tracks cars can use big wings as they are old school and therefor cheaper.

i think most supercars are going the wrong way today. everything what counts today are stats, which leads to ridiculous amounts of horsepower. but is it fun to have 1000+hp with maybe mediocre engine characteristics where u have too break instantly after accelerating, or t have a nice balanced car with great handling? i dont know, never driven bugatti or what ever. my bet is that people will enjoy a car with great handling like the gt3 way more than some super crazy HP-monsters.

+Luke Armitage He said that it's one of the best cars you can buy, and stated it as a fact. I think it is, but the 1% thing he says later on means that it's not for everyone. Only 1% of people who have the money to buy a car like this actually would take it to a track. The "1%" statement and "the best car you can buy" statement are related. Consider this: having a car that can break land speed records, but can't corner, could be considered "the best", but only people who drag race, or are interested in going at break neck speeds, would appreciate it and value it. The 911 GT3 RS, is the best car... but not everyone is going to understand it.

With all due respect, he has no idea what he is talking about. The car is an absolute peach on UK highways. dont use the loud button and you can cruise perfectly fine at appropriate speeds while listening to the radio. there are some italian cars that come to mind where that certainly isnt possible. as to the silly 1% comment, how is this any different from a 650s/675LT, 458/458 special/488 GTB, the really quiet Audi R8? Huracan etc. if anything this one is more usable than all the other bar the maccas

Very cool but depressing at the same time - champagne taste on a ginger ale budget. Hell, I can barely afford the Car and Driver or Road and Track issues reviewing this beast! As far as speed is concerned - damn, mate - how fast do you need to go?! Here are the specs - 0-60 - 2.9 secs, 0-100 6.9 secs, quarter mile 11.1 secs, top speed 193. Not many cars faster. Sure you have the Bugatti Veyron, the McClaren F1 and other super cars like that, but this car definitely is not a slow poke - I sure as hell wouldn't turn down this car is someone gave it to me.

I must say, while I like these review videos, they do NOT do the Porsche 911 gt3rs its full justice. I was driving next to one on the highway in traffic today for about 3 miles, and no lie, even from 100 yards away I still heard the heavy baritone exhaust. And also, I can tell you, these cars do not like to be driven in slow traffic. From my own eyes I saw the car was very very jerky. The driver would get on the gas and get off, cause the car just wanted to take off. It was clearly out of its element.

So this is to 99% a track only car that you can drive from home to the track and back. And GT3 is a little better in that area. It's also very track focused. The big wings and extreme aero on both cars is the reason for the high performance. Some seems to forget all that.
