The bed was amazing and will do next time I have a vid on her!!!! The heat is a Big Buddy heater. We have a smoke/CO2 sensor inside and never had issues. We only ended up using heat once during the trip. As for AC, we didn’t need it as the temps were never uncomfortable during the duration we stayed up north. All the best Vdekort11.

Thanks for the plug John!!! Cargo trailer conversions are funny cause the amount of time spent on making them camper-able is sooooo much time that nobody could possibly afford it. LOL!!! Seriously tho, just watch KZbin and learn what others have done, and make yours…….yours!!! Id be more than willing to give you some pointers about mine and help you develop your rig!!! It is highly recommended by us. Electric water pump for the water and waste that’s easily disposed of without the disgusting feeling!!! I approve!!!

Sorry Tony, just saw the comment here. Thanks for the response. I completely understand the difficulty in balancing the cargo/camper scenario. Once camperized there’s not much room left for the toys…..LOL!!! That said, we’ve reduced our toy stock and now only limited to a quad inside the trailer and a dirt bike in the truck. As in our previous build videos you can see what we made work and what we made our wish list for the new build. I did a video on space planning and knew what was left over to fit out in “camper” details. I know you’ll be pleased with the V nose, it’s an area that can only be made better by the space/shape of it. All the best with your build, and safe travels wherever you go!!

Hey Michael. Living in BC, “typically”, we shouldn’t need AC and didn’t install one. That said, in two years we’ll be travelling across Canada and into the US and likely will install one.

I will post a video at some point on the rack. It was a simple yet most practical method Evan. Bolted to the roof truss/wall stud. Fully structural, yet, aluminum lite!!! I specifically used it to carry our kayaks, spare truck tire, and storage box with our paddle board. Coincidentally, I’ve mounted our trailer “air tag” to gps track the trailer itself. Something that is unobstructed. I truly couldn’t be happier with this build. I’d change nothing on this unit. Thanks for the interest!!! All the best to you.

@@brucemclean934 I like that vertical attachment much more than the ones I see where they ran a horizontal plate along the seam of the roof. I'm looking to mount solar panels to the rack.

I gotta say, I'm jealous. We have a 6x10 w/no side door. Hindsight being what it is, had we known we were going to eventually mod out the trailer for off-grid capability (we bought it to support my scuba dive training ops) as well, we'd have gone with a 6x12 v-nose and side door.

I went with a 6x12 for an emergency communications shack, and I'm wishing I'd gone one size bigger. Things like batteries and inverter eat through the useful load on the trailer pretty quickly.

@@evanwindom3265 We currently have dual 100w panels on the roof and 200ah lithium. That's turning out to be able to support us at the moment, but when sunlight's more limited, that 200w isn't enough to keep on top of the battery. Ideal state for us, given the weight and space, would be to add 2 more panels and add another 200ah battery. Even with our current configuration, we've got the space. At some point I'll stop teaching scuba and reclaim the rest of the trailer. Again, having no side door forces us to leave the rear barn doors unobstructed. 6x12 w/v-nose would still be the right size for us, ultimately. I can't see pulling a 7x14.

@@cetifoxproductions Mine is still under construction, but the plan is for four 320w panels on the roof, one of which will have to slide out from under the others when deployed. I've got dual 400ah batteries in a server rack. Between the batteries, inverter, and solar gear, that's about 450 pounds. I'm wishing I had the v-nose, though, too. The trailer has an arched roof, which complicates things like insulating and installing a ceiling. A flat roof would have been a lot easier.
