2:40 not true you can remove that and it’s essentially a factory cold air kit. You can bring the air inlet temp down by 5-15 degrees depending on if your in traffic or cruising.
@hpkntnw2 жыл бұрын
6:37 yeah the 6-speed tremec is absolutely the way to go. It’s smooth, shifts are crisp and you get no lift shift which is amazing. The car actually pauses your throttle input while you shift. The tremec is kind of the reason you buy a Mach 1 over a fully optioned GT.
@kevinbreese57392 жыл бұрын
Yes the Tremec is one of the biggest advantages of the Mach 1, but you also get better wheels & tires, more power, better aero, better exhaust, better cooling, an unique appearance including a much nicer looking front and rear end, and that legendary "Mach 1" name. There's a big different between it and a regular optioned-up GT.

the 10A also has an upgraded torque converter btw. 6spd tremec is the way to go though, imo.

For those of us pondering a M1 versus a lightly used GT350 for ~$10k more, is the handling feel on the base/non HP Mach similar to a GT350?
@hpkntnw2 жыл бұрын
I can tell you as a Mach 1 owner it’s head and shoulders above a GT. It’s essentially a GT350 without the voodoo. It has front and rear subframes from the GT350 as well as the tremec transmission. The engine also has the intake, throttle body and cold air from the 350 and also every Mach 1 has an oil, trans and diff cooler so even if you don’t get the Handling Pack you’re only a set of wheels and tires away. As someone who has a non HP car unless you plan on tracking it you really don’t need it. I can rip down a back road and take an off ramp at 80 and it just sticks like no mustang I’ve ever seen. If you’re thinking of buying one DO IT!! Oh and unless your at full throttle to redline the Mach 1 is faster with more midrange than the voodoo.

Better transmission, additional cooling, track package. The Bullitt (like the GT) is majorly held back by the garbage Getrag transmission. The Bullitt might make sense if you’re an automatic transmission type of guy.
@GrimSRT82 жыл бұрын
Totally disagree with the comment that you get what you pay for with this car. It’s flat out overpriced. A $45K Camaro SS 1LE matches this in performance for $15K less. I was driving a Focus RS (so not a Ford hater) and I wanted to replace it with something with a V8 before they were all gone. I originally wanted a lightly used GT350, but then I researched the Voodoo engine issues. I even talked to one of the top Ford Performance technicians in the country, and even she said she wouldn’t buy a GT350. So next I looked at the Mach-1, but optioned the way I wanted it (Recaros, BO stereo, handling package) is was over $65K! That’s ZL1 money! In the end I decided to go with the Camaro 2SS 1LE. It cost me $15K+ less than the Mach-1, and is just a set of R compound tires away from matching Mach-1 w/handling package performance. I’d rather just run PS4S tires on the street anyway. So I love the Mach-1, and I wanted to buy one, but they value just isn’t great if you consider the Camaro variants. It just doesn’t make financial sense unless you are willing to overspend.

You are incorrect this generation Mustang came in 2015, not 2014.
@cliffcarreviews3 жыл бұрын
No, the 2015 MY went on sale in 2014. It can be confusing. I distinguish between model and calendar years. If I say a car came out "for" 2015, that's the model year. If I say it came out "in" 2015, that's the calendar year.
@paulm64813 жыл бұрын
@@cliffcarreviews Well that must be the strangest way I have ever heard someone refer to model year cars. Various cars come out early (prior to year they are assigned) or late (in the year they are assigned). But generally speaking everyone talks about cars as the year it is assigned by the manufacturers. 2015 Mustang coming a month early in 2014 does not make it 2014. You are just confused or confusing the years.

Why it seems that KZbin testers have to apologize for the 10A and the original wheels? There are a couple of reviews about the 10A that are honest and show it is not such a big deal. But all these herd mentality testers have to poop poo it and praise the wonders of the tremec. Sale figures show that the demand is even between these two transmissions, notwithstanding all these reviewers. Also, why the herd mentality for the upgraded wheels; they are not unique and all aftermarket wheel companies have a wheel with a similar design
@cliffcarreviews3 жыл бұрын
I can't speak for other reviewers, but the automatic suffers for the reasons I described. As for wheels, that's the most subjective. I like them, and they're worth it when you buy this car new--the upcharge is $450 for the set, no package required. Quality cast aftermarket wheels at this size will run $600-$800 each.
@tradukilor23 жыл бұрын
@@cliffcarreviews Thanks for your honest reply and apologies regarding the transmission. Maybe there is a generational difference in terms of the wheels. That design has been around since the Mustang performance package was around. It doesn't really reflects how the 69-70 Mach 1 looks like. But as you said, it is subjective

"God, that exhaust is loud" -- That's the whole point of this car, and that's who Ford caters it to -- teenage idiots who want to cruise through sleepy residential neighborhoods and accelerate to make windows shake, the later at night the better. There are occasional race events in my neighborhood of those young thugs where dozens of them come (everyone except for the police, too scared to come without US Marines). Talking to them is pointless, since very few of them actually speak English, at least the understandable variety.
