I went to Montrose Vedic and they pronounced it the way you do. And so do I. That issue cleared...this is the first time seeing it was an anchar!

My neighbor usually give these bitter melon to me but I had no idea what to do with it so I use to put it in my smoothie. Now I know what to do with them. Thanks for sharing!😁

I tried to grow them here in Kentucky but they did not germinate unfortunately. Maybe they didn’t get enough water. I live studying them with julienne potatoes, onions, turmeric and salt and serve with dal and rice or roti. So good!

Hey Chris! I live in North Carolina and never heard of these. Can you grow these anywhere? Thanks. Paul

I tried that thing once…Omg!!! I can’t handle the bitterness. I noticed you didn’t mention it once😂 I knew it was going to be bitter, bitter the level of bitterness was too much for me. I could eat that pan of scotch bonnets though😂 Maybe I could try again one day with your recipe. Thanks.

Very good for you, that's the Chinese one you are growing. The Indian is common in UK.

I had 'ban' carilie (ting ones, similar to the Indian one - bumpy) a few years back.

I did not even know there were differences, I only know the bumpy ones.

I'm so jealous of you plant this year my bitter melon plants (we call it Sopropo) won't grow. We had way to much rain and no sun. I grow it for my brother inlaw cuz he is diabetic. I personaly don't like the taste.
