I have a question hopefully you see this! Is it necessary to moisture your actually locs or just the scalp?
@SammyDaGawd2 жыл бұрын
If color treated then definitely. Otherwise it depends on how your hair responds and what you use. A moisture spray is best (rose water, aloe Vera juice, light oils). Conditioners in the beginning are a no (they’ll detange). Some ppl deep condition when they mature but with super light products or just acv. Def. do some research. For me I stick to the roots and ends when needed (via my spray)

Thank you so much for replying! And also I heard you talk about hot oil treatments so it’s best to do it after you wash you hair? Should I not wash the oils out after?
@SammyDaGawd2 жыл бұрын
@@devanairpittman68 Some ppl hot oil before the wash then shampoo it out but to me it makes more sense to do it on clean hair. So the oils stay to do the work. Just don't drown your scalp in oil, use what's needed and that's it.

I believe the only reason I use a conditioner is to replenish the moisture that’s being lost when I use my shampoo. The shampoo I use is extremely drying, because it is medicated due to already having a drying skin condition. I do try my best to ensure that it is properly rinsed away, but I also use oils thereafter to keep in moisture.

Peculiar roots rose collection has an awesome moisturizing shampoo and a conditioner that works so well. It’s perfect for winter. I do have a question though. How often should we be steaming our hair? I bought a steamer because of you 😊 my scalp is more dry during the winter.
@SammyDaGawd2 жыл бұрын
You just put me on! Thank you🙏🏽 As far as steaming, once a week is fine. Depending on how your hair feels after you can decide to adjust the frequency if needed.

Hi should we still use thick oil if we have low porosity hair? Or does it not matter?
@SammyDaGawd2 жыл бұрын
Depends on the oil..For instance, argan oil works like a conditioner to low porosity hair but, castor oil might be too thick to penetrate. You gotta play match maker between your scalp and the oils you choose lol
