I really want to like Carl, I really do, he's an absolute warrior and he fights at my favourite weight, I've always followed super middleweight division religiously but Jesus Christ he talks some shit and if he mentions 80,000 at Wembley one more time.... I wonder if it comes from some insecurities? If he was such a nervous amateur then it might be, I hope so because I would want to think he's a better bloke than he comes across as sometimes.

Froch for me personally the best English/British fighter of the modern era. I know Calzaghe was phenomenal and undefeated. Lennox, Naz, Hatton, Eubank Snr, the list can go on. Froch would fight anyone and every fight was entertaining. The man was like a fuckin Spartan warrior and would just walk through people. Honest man, says it as he sees it, and always stays humble and loyal. Don’t hear many fighters give their coach the credit Froch gives Robert McCracken. Stayed with him right through his career too. Take a bow Froch lad 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I understand why Carl is not everyone's cup of tea as is arrogant and contradicts himself. He did not like Groves goading him but he did the same to Calzaghe. As a fighter technically not the best, however he is as tough as they come. Has a granite chin, great stamina, fought decent opposition and avoided no one. I could not see anybody stopping him in a fight not even GGG. One of the best Super middle weight fighters the UK had. A shame he was not the Benn, Eubank, Watson era I think he would of held his own.

LEGEND Carl was a hell of a fighter, he got my attention when he 1st turned over & went pro. I was dying for a great British super-middleweight to come along cause Calzaghe bored me, that guy had no flair & really never took risks, his only outstanding fight was left-hook Lacey which didn’t come close to some of Carl’ barn stormers. Carl “the 🐍” Froch was a fn’ warrior like Nigel Benn& I don’t give a crap if nobody agrees cause I know I’m 💯% correct & I reckon Carl would back me up on that 😎😎😎😎

I'm coming very late to Carl Froch as a fighter and never saw him fight before his career ended but I can tell this man is just a class act and an amazing athlete. I've watched both fights on KZbin vs George Groves and was especially impressed with his very last fight. Truth be told , he literally conquered George Groves mentally and physically in both fights. And for all the talk about a bad call by the referee in the first fight, I say BS...the referee actually helped Groves' career by ending the fight when he did...it was a good call because Carl hit him with a very short devastating left hand which isn't so easy to see.. The referee's primary responsibility is to protect the fighters and he essentially protected George Groves in this fight. Carl's willingness to offer a rematch also speaks to his character as a man. No one can sincerely take away Carl Froch's accomplishments in the ring from him. CHEERS FROM CANADA!!!

I think Calzaghe stops Froch in the 10th or 11th round, and Froch's "granite" chin wouldn't make a difference. Calzaghe would hop in, pepper him with a few 4-5 punch combinations, then hop out. After nine or 10 rounds of this, Calzaghe would have built a huge lead and Froch's face would be a bloody, lumpy mess. Froch would never be in serious trouble as far as being knocked out, but the ref would stop it simply because he can't win and there's no point in having him take any more punishment. I'm not a Calzaghe fan, but he's too fast and too savvy for Froch.

Easy summation, the guy did fantastic, he achieved, must've made a bit of cash and has a media career where he acts like a biased matchroom puppy dog. However, his manner over the years lacks charisma and I think its more frustration. He acts like a crossover star, when he so isn't, even being on sky hasn't made him a big name in mainstream media (im talking outside boxing). But fair play to him.

I didn't like groves either at that point, but he seems to of matured up and is a cool guy now, I'm sure froch has changed his opinion slightly.

Too much hate towards Froch, you lot can’t have been watching the same Froch as the rest of us, he was a great fighter, considering his hands down style, he is a fucking legend
