Mato visited my school a very long time ago when I was about 10 years old and taught chess to us in the library once a week. I completely forgot about it until stumbling upon this channel and recognising the name. What a small world

Yep found them all, having a good day. Other days I don't have a clue. What a great chess channel Mato gives us. Others take ten times as long to explain what Mato does so precisely.

Schlecter is the mastermind that through Mato’s analysis inspires me to play more risky and daring moves which sometimes are miscalculations but if successful make me feel like a “Tal” or “Schlechter” for a day. Hvala Mato!

Sadly, I read somewhere that Shlechter died of starvation in the first world war. He had previously played against the world champion, and got to a score of nine each, but under the rules he was forced to concede since at that scoreline the rules were that the champion remained champion. I think that is correct, but please put me right if I've got it wrong. Thanks for posting Mato!

I found the Knight move, but not the following, and then the Rook move. But I guess it is much easier to solve a chess puzzle than to create one to your opponent... outstanding job mr. Mato! Love your online chess lectures.

Mato comes through again with an excellent series on the types of games and positions we are likely to see in our local chess clubs. Just looked on Amazon. Couldn't find any eBooks on Herr Schlechter's games. Hopefully someone will correct this deficiency.

I found the moves, but only because I was told that they were present in the position. Over the board, I wouldn't have had the courage to dare such moves. (Inevitably, no matter how hard I calculated, something would go wrong.)

Found 'em all. However, this is due to the forced position after bishop lost a tempo.

Hindsight's 20\20 but had Prokes castled on move 11, instead of retreating his bishop, he only would've been down the pawn, after the ensuing exchange! 🤔
@exoplanet11

I agree. The bishop did not need to retreat. It could have been saved, the king protected, even if, as you say, at the cost of a pawn.
