I was convinced of his baseball brilliance in the 2021 ALDS game 4 against Chicago. Correa hit an 0-2 high fastball from Rodon into the gap to bring home 2 runs (the bases were loaded with 2 outs). That put the Astros ahead and they went on to win the game and that also won them the series. After the game, Correa said he could see that Rodon was all pumped up after blowing 2 fastballs by him, and that Rodon wanted to strike out Correa in front of the home crowd in a must-win game. Correa said he knew Rodon would not give him anything off-speed. "His ego was dominating him, he was all caught up in the emotions of the moment" I think Correa said, so he looked for another high fastball - he got it and hammered it. His calm understanding in that clutch situation was very impressive.

7:00 The fact that Correa tries to inform other players and help them get better and improve their position in contract talks is AWESOME. So many people refuse to share information as a way to keep "an edge" its BS. The fact that he is confident in himself and wants to educate others to further MLB players is good stuff. I may not be a fan of his in other areas but in this he has my respect.

What Carlos is saying is exactly why teams like the Dodgers and Astros have been so good for so long. Essentially having a High On Base % aswell as High walk rate to a low strikeout rate and putting the ball in play constantly as a team generates a constant chance for success every game. Obviously easier said than done.

I unlike the others like the fact you brought up altuve wasn’t really the cheater and villian op fans make him out to be. Correa is a burgeoning superstar but just like JP his strength wasn’t always in going yard, it’s making sure you get on bag to capitalize for those behind you when they go yard. Just putting this here so that it doesn't get lost with time. The reason why Altuve won the MVP voting had mostly to do with his numbers in clutch, or "valuable" situations. Anyone can disagree with this reasoning, but this was the reasoning the voters used to determine Altuve almost unanimously over Judge, as Judge's numbers in late/close games or with RISP were much worse than Altuve's, and mediocre overall.

I feel like he's smartest with how he sees his career and what teams he's on . He absolutely could've signed with the Cubs or Tigers but that would be a bit too predictable. Basically nobody saw him signing with the Twins, the Twins felt like an underdog team to sign him yet they did he knows what he's doing with his career and he ain't gonna throw it away to be on 1 team for a long time and have a possibility to retire at an early age or have downhill seasons like some players who signed long term contracts have

They come to Houston for the atmosphere and the attitude. That's what the flair is about. It's about fun. We want you to express yourself okay? I’ve always thought that the cheating issue was ridiculously unnecessary because all teams cheat one way or another. The Astros were treated as a scapegoat because of their success. Teams became envious of them and their success. Teams such as the Yankees, Red Sox and Dodgers are also culprits of this. It’s a shame that Major League Baseball administration could go so low with what they did to the Astros and the players they charged especially Carlos Beltran who was also one of the smartest baseball minds in the game. Shame on you Major League Baseball.😢 Any team that signs Carlos Correa will have a true leader. With a slew of playoff experience. Capable of carrying a team on his back. One of the greatest baseball minds in the game today. What a talent.🇵🇷👏

The Astros trained him very well and he is a very spongy student of the game. We were upset that the Astros organization didn't pay him what he was worth, but then came Pena. Good luck in your future Carlos. We miss ya yet we don't miss ya.

Got a different outlook on this guy now, he’s still a “bag” but a smart & focused bag. Another great video

Why are you still talking about Altuve when he has nothing to do with what this video is about? Are you salty Altuve won mvp over judge? Well atleast judge is gonna finally win it this year despite not showing up in the postseason
