Carlos was such a great great batter, contact and power. He was so dominant on the Blue Jays, but he was over shadowed by the juicers....Bonds, Sosa, Giambi, A Rod. I don't know if he will go in, but I think he deserves the hall of fame, especially for a "natural" player.

@robertanderson28989 жыл бұрын
PapaShongo25 Yeah Delgado sure lost it in a hurry. He DID lead the Mets in HR in 2008, but he did play in '09 (4 Homers in 26 Games). 1241 Runs, 2038 Hits, 483 Doubles, 473 Homeruns, 1512 RBI, and a solid .280 Average. I'd say borderline Hall of Fame worthy. Better chance had he got to 500 homers. In 2000 he had one of his best seasons.... 57 Doubles, 1 Triple, 41 Home Runs = 99 Extra Base Hits, plus he batted .344 to boot. 7 of his 9 seasons of 100+ RBI were at least 114 or better, and he had 13 consecutive seasons of at least 24 Home Runs (1996-2008).

I knew he'd hit 3 though when he came up for his last at-bat & I remember thinking 'why don't they just put him on now' Lol. I was also thinking 'What if he hits another here...eh, no way, it won't happen...' then BOOM. And Carlos knew it was gone soon as he flipped the bat. An amazing performance. It kinda got lost in the baseball shuffle at the time because the Red Sox clinched the AL Wildcard on the same night & the NL wildcard race was pretty exciting at the time too( the Marlins of course clinched ), plus the sparse attendance at the time....a LOT of fans missed out on a memorable performance that's for sure.
