She's so talented! So many songs that tap into my emotions and touch my soul. Melancholy, loneliness, joy, resilience and so many more. They also make you want to sing along and sometimes even belt them out. I'm so glad she has shared her beautiful gifts with us.

Her spirit I believe is born through grace and resilience and she must always be alive in song. Gods gift to her and us. Finding anything new in a life well lived is a heavy burden but even that she has her family’s passing members to begin new relationships. The depth of her love for song and song writing will carry her along in grand company. Let the pain pass knowing the joy from which it came. You have always been a welcomed love of my life giving me song to sing and grow. Every image of you sparkles and will always remain with all who treasure your gifts of singing/writing. You have surpassed needing more appreciation from your Papa. I suspect that he knew that your being was an unlikely special blessing and that he should be gentle as he could, but his peers of action men wouldn’t likely reveal such tender attitudes toward many women, hopefully your mother was excluded from that misogyny. Look the cream rose to the top. Thank you for being you.

I pray God heals Carly Simmon and she will be in good health. A healthy diet of frozen fruits and vegetables and frozen fruit smoothies can help fight and kill cancer cells. I first heard You're So Vain in 1980 when I was 18 and I loved the "catchy" tune and words. Now in 2024 I dedicate this song to my companion who really is so vain.

I knew her in the late 70's in Connecticut, when the earth moves under your feet. She would entertain at an ashram candle making covenant. Years go by Quickly..

I believe you are thinking of Carole King. The earth moves is one of her songs and she lived in Connecticut. Carly is in Massachusetts.

She, being the off spring of two wealthy intellectuals, had always facinated me. It is hard for me to see her as a wild child considering the wonderful things that she was exposed to growing up. She certainly is one of a kind and a great free spirited American artist who was exposed to the New York scene of the mid 20th century.
