@@kevincrockett5155 it’s a 2024 Ford F-250 platinum and no, he doesn’t use it for work. The price included his 6 inch lift, tires and rims. It’s very nice but not worth the cost. Diesel price and insurance with truck payments I’m sure he spends $2,000 a month just to drive! He probably only makes $4,000 a month. He looks rich but he is poor.

I went to Carmax a couple weeks back to look at a Ford Fusion SE (mid trim) for my daughter. The car had 90k miles on it, and it was 10 years old so of course I wanted the warranty. I have good credit and they had me at $420/month for 4 years, and that was with $4K down. I laughed and left.

There's a dealer in my area asking 18,500 for a 2015 VW Tiguan at 24.6% interest. They have other cars they've done the same. Long story short, their sales are low and are becoming desperate without wanting to change their stance on overcharging customers. Theyve have a disassembled 2013 BMW X5 with everything broken, asking 22,500. The BMW has been on their lot for 2 years now and will never sell. I love seeing it because it tells dealers without speaking how stupid and unrealistic their "deals" are.

4:41 22.95% for " challenged " credit. $1,978 a month plus tax, title, fees, and Gap insurance. If you rolled those into your note that vehicle would cost you 168K or $2,333 a month for 72 months. 😮 that's insane but the good news is you wouldn't be upside down after you made your 52nd payment....so there's that.

Carmax is the worst. They monopolize the buying process. You can't negotiate price with them. That's their policy - you have to pay the price on the sticker. Period. Second, the sales people are trained to gloss over all the fine print in the financing process so make it appear like the buying process is easy but you're really getting screwed over. Third, they have been known to charge over MSRP on used vehicles - so you're paying more for a used vehicle than when it was new. Seriously??? WTH??? NO thanks losers.

my bank's rates are between 5.64 and 7.89 depending on the model year. so, there is some savings by going with your own financing, the 22.95 percent is totally insane. many years ago (before i had good credit) i paid around 18 percent for a vehicle, however it was paid off in 2 years. recently i paid 3.2 percent in 2017, and 4.9 percent in 2021. my score is excellent now. not having good credit is very costly, that's for sure.

I am completely sympathetic that sometimes things just happen and you need to buy a car unexpectedly so you have to finance it, but there is no excuse for blindly agreeing to these crazy rates from dealers instead of going to your own bank or credit union to get financing. Because you'll get a better rate and you can even use it to negotiate a better rate from the dealer in some cases.

These franchise car lots look more like an operation of bankers. Look at it for what it is…. a 23 % interest rate is predatory among desperate buyers. Another obvious tell is that dodgy Dodge Journey that’s 9 years old for $15 thousand dollars. 15 K …plus 23% interest… for a 9 year old Dodge minivan. That’s shady as f.

Prius is still running perfectly with 120k miles nowadays but I’m going to think twice before comeback to CarMax because of headache with their service. Better to buy Toyota Camry at another dealership or facebook market place.
