You can't knock him for not winning a ring when our management practically scared players away and the time when he arrived to the East, Miami got LeBron and got the big 3 rolling which went to 4 straight NBA finals. Before he came, Knicks hadn't seen the playoffs since 2004 so of course Knicks fans were happy. He was the start of the culture coming back to the city and gave NYC people something to root for. Sure you can say he was overpaid, but who was he going to take a pay cut for? Just a meeting with Dolan was enough to make players cross the Knicks off their list. The difference between now and a few years ago was made by the switch up in management. Leon Rose and his people working behind the scenes are the reason why the Knicks are in a good spot again. They don't trade for old stars and give away absurd amount of picks anymore, they make smart moves and this current season attests to that.
