thanks for another year of bringing us along on the journey. all the best for the new year to the whole carnage family. here's one for the haters. put the turbo four cylinder from a Mustang in the Torana. front-mid mount, crazy power to weight. specifically design it to be a monster at hillclimb, rallycross, motorkhana, short course events etc.

Is a DOHC 4 banger turbo out of the question for the Torana? Especially as you're planning to do circuit racing/hillclimb. Even a SOHC little 4 banger filled to the gills with boost.Thanks for a great year Scotty and Matt. 2025 is going to be a good one I can just feel it in me bones!

Put a 13B in the Torry, perfect for hill climbs. Its light weight and revvs like hell.

Scotty, with the Torana going hillclimbing & circuiting, you need to chose what Category you want to build it to. Categories 1 & 2 are basically stock, then stock with slight modifications. Categories 3 & 4 are improved production & Sports Sedan. There is also capacity classes. 0-1600 cc , 1601 - 2000 cc, 2001-3000 cc & 30001-6000 cc. Turbochargers increase the capacity by 1.7. In Category 3 the engine needs to be from the same manufacturer as the chassis . A K20 Honda would put you in Sports Sedan & under 2 litre. An Isuzu 1.8 litre turbo engine would put you (probably) in improved production 2001-3000. So lots to think about. Been a good 2024, I'm hoping 2025 is just as good, if not better. I think the circuit stuff would be more fun track days and hill climbs etc, not so much full on category racing. I do door to door category racing and it's pretty much a full time commitment to stay up to date and even slightly competititve with everyone else on track not to mention the licenscing and regulations. I really don't think scotty would have the time to dedicate to all that stuff. Having said that, there are plenty of great track days, time trials and events like optima to go and have great fun in a car like that :)

Well done guys. Something out of left field I saw on You Tube was 2 guys in Anchorage Alaska find a clapped out '67 Firebird and they yanked out the stuffed 326 and fitted a turbo 4 cylinder ecotec crate motor and box to suit a new Camaro. I couldn't believe what I was watching until they mentioned it had 300hp. Something like that might suit the Torana? On turbo Taxi..... if you converted it to 98 or E85 it would e running 10s in my opinion................

Scotty and all the SM Carnage crew, thanks for all the content this year, it's been brilliant! I've been rewatching Grimace the Holden VS ute again. The Lexcen oddly enough is another favourite of mine. I'm amazed that there's no merch for all the carnage cars. You have to add merch for all your builds so you guys can have extra cash to put back into the builds or at least pay Matt a lunch. Speaking of Matt, he should front a few episodes for 2025. I reckon the V6 out of the F-150 would go well into the Torana or a Nissan RB series engine. Whichever makes economical sense to do. Also more videos on Supermang. I'd like to see what goodies you can throw into it.

How about something easy to get (maybe at the cheaper end) for the Torana, like a 3.5 v6 and 6 speed from a 350z, and a turbo of course?

I am far from a Cleetus fan, but what they did to the El Camino was criminal. They must have had some kind of plan of what they intended to do from the beginning. Why not just start a fresh and leave it in one piece. A decent panel shop could have sorted out any rust issues. That was just wasteful. Glad you don't have the money to be able to afford to do dumb shit like that.
