+SuperTeeter64 tfw you finally learn that all you have to do to get the barrel to move for you is to press up and down. Now, you CAN do things the hard way like I did when I was 10 and JUMP on the barrel to cause basic physics instead, after 8 lives lost due to time outs (and 1 due to a clipping issue) I finally managed to get past the first barrel! ...with 2 minutes to complete the entire stage. :I Then I died due to a lack of time, tried the barrel again, got the clipping issue again, and quit the game for 6 years XD

Same. :( I actually never figured out how to do it myself, instead I'd just switch to "easy mode" (when playing Sonic Jam on the Saturn) to get through that particular stage, then turn the setting back to "original" and finish the game. Years later, I realised this was quite common... ^^,,

i love this zone's music and the level is pretty fun itself when ur getting bounced around everywhere but i had no idea how to do the little miniboss to complete act 1 so i was stuck forever on this and i was like "oh well at least the musics good who cares about figuring out what the next zone is" and then i figure out OH WAIT i have to run the spinny top thing when it expands. thus, i moved onto the next act and was like "oh cool," or "oh cold," or some other third clever pun.

Your description reminds me of one of the weirder Sonic 2 LP's I saw years ago wherein the guy playing decreed that the original scenario for Sonic 4 (at that point not known to exist) was about Knuckles and Crawl (yes, the badnik) meeting up, doing lots of drugs, and generally trashing a casino-style zone. Good story, lots of character development, apparently. I wish I could remember where I found that LP. I could use whatever he was on.

This my favorite classic remix of your's, along with Crystal Egg and Egg Rocket! I really love how you added springy synths and 16-bit bells into the song, as well as the beginning, where you added the reverberation effect. The only thing that bothers me is when you made the sound quality of 0:07 and ends at 0:16 inferior compared to the original Sega Genesis song. Unless if it's your intention to make it sound like a cheesy, old carnival ride that blasts music with poor-quality speakers, it would've been better not to reduce the bit rate of that part.

I defeated the barrel with a second player getting Tails to jump up and down on the barrel like crazy while I spindashed through it. The second way was to collect all Chaos Emeralds, turning to Supes before that section and jumping like fuck on that bitch. That's how I did it..............before finding out years later like every other sap the easy and proper way. :/
