@@pintswithaquinas Just a thought to consider for Cameron, (I'm addiing it here as I can't work out tagging, delete it as wished), I went on Stivia as I thought it would be better than sugar, long story short, my hair started thinning and falling out. Stivia was the only chabge in my diet I had done so decided to research into it more. It can have an effect on some dna of some people, the research isn't easy to find on the net. I stopped Stivia and my hair growth and quality went back to normal and I felt much better. Not giving advice üer se, just sharing for consideration. Prayers to you, and Matt and your family and the Pints team too xx

Cameron, thank you so much for being a beautiful and interesting person! ❤ I feel like there are many Catholic or conservative outlets that want to put women into this box that you can only bake bread, nurse babies, and wear prairie dresses. It’s okay to love those things! But some outlets act like any other sort of desire is evil and not feminine. But to me that just seems a little immature to expect that personality in every woman! Don’t get me wrong I’m a wife who longs to be a stay-at-home mom some day and I think it is a God-given right that women should be allowed to stay home with their children. However, I am so thankful for you talking about your love of adventure and the beach. You being honest about these things contributes to your beauty and makes you special in God’s eyes! Thank you for talking about the Seminarians in Rome who were just “normal”, I am married to a former Seminarian and we’ve noticed sometimes talking to religious can be more “normal” than the lay people in the pews 😂 thank you Cameron for just being normal! Normal meaning, we’re all people with different thoughts, feelings, and desires. God made us all different because He wanted to! Thanks for being honest and real, it’s beautiful! My mother fled Slovenia May 5th, 1945. If you want to know Slovenia and survivors of communist rule, read "Slovenia, 1945". Ironically my mother's picture is in that book. It is written from the different perspective of three survivors of the Mass Grave of 10,000 soldiers handed over by the British military because they were insignificant and not part of the "deal". Awesome book. Yes, all my uncles were shorter than me 5"9.

2:49:00 I really appreciate Cameron's response. I was not Catholic when my husband and I got married, and without the tremendous grace of God bringing us together, and my husband pushing for us to be married in the Catholic church and to raise our children Catholic, I probably wouldn't be Catholic today. We had a lot of people pushing for us to split up, but God brought us together and by grace we both knew that. I understand the concern absolutely, but please get to know him and be a light for Christ. On the flip side, the rudeness and refusal to see my husband as a human by my mother and mentors was a big part of what led me to distance myself from my Mormon faith (praise God). They couldn't see how GOOD he was and how good we were together, they could only see that he wasn't Mormon.

Badly done. I was really enjoying this episode and had actually shared it but unsubscribed after 2:23:43 heartbreaking. A husband telling his wife, the person that she's the most vulnerable and intimate with, that he thinks she's unattractive because she needs to lose weight is such horrible advice. You spend so much of this episode talking about how even when you're "eating healthy" your body can be unhealthy and falling apart but then you say if a woman is fat she must not care about her weight and is eating McDonald's all day, and your solution is to try whole30? I listened to this 3 times to make sure I was hearing it right I know I am sensitive to it, being overweight, and pregnant with my seventh child in ten years, but I also think that this was discussed so cruelly and so uncharitably. I don't believe in this hypothetical woman, who is married to a man, and doesn't care about her weight who isn't aware of whole30 or eating real food. The body positive gluttons aren't married to men who watch pints with Aquinas. There are overweight Catholic moms who struggle with their weight who listen to Pints and your suggesting that their husbands should tell them that they are unattractive making it clear with the disgust in your voice and expression that you would find them repulsive. Cameron was right this was just too rude and mean and to spend so much time on it badly done.
@Fael.27.5 ай бұрын
@@themohrlands i can understand you. But i don't think that this was said to be mean or degrading. I always tell my fiancé, that if i get too big (i also struggle with my weight, but it is still not overweight but on the way..), he needs to tell me. One of my priorities in life is indeed looking good for him (and just for him). But i also know, that he would be very loving in telling me and would help me with my journey to lose weight. He would for example help me with a meal plan or taking the kids for me to have time to do sports (or maybe just for a walk). That comforts me. And of course the physical attractivness is not everything in a marriage. You will have your seventh child!! Thats so great, i will pray for you and your family. I also hope to be blessed with many children. And if God allows me to be blessed in this way, than i wouldn't mind to be a little chubby. The woman body is supposed to be soft and cozy after all. But i still would try to have a nice feminine form and my soon to be husband promised to help me with that. ❤️

Cameron, have you had any symptoms of Oxalate dumping? I tried to do a primarily carnivore diet and my digestive system went haywire. I’ve had to add in some fruit and even organic sourdough toast to stave off daily diarrhea. Which I believe now is Oxalate dumping. The high oxalate foods are spinach, almonds, Swiss chard, beet roots, cocoa/chocolate…other nuts, black tea and potatoes, sweet potatoes etc. So if you’ve eaten a lot of those over the years and then go on carnivore, you could have dumping of a long build up of oxalates.

For the spouse gaining weight conundrum: Husbands or wives, should break it to their spouse by saying they’re concerned about the spouse’s health. Bring up the spouse’s family medical history if it’s relevant (diabetes, hypertension, etc). Offering to work out together by doing the little things like go on walks, especially with littles, it’s beneficial for everyone! I guarantee if the husband and wife agree to no longer buy processed foods or eat fast food, both spouses will lose weight.
@jayna10243 ай бұрын
@@JulieDevonshire I literally don’t understand what you’re saying. In the United States, the majority of Americans are overweight and obese due to highly processed foods! Most of the health issues are chronic illnesses like diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. are due to eating terrible. American companies give us complete crap food and sell their same products abroad without the toxic ingredients because the European governments ban those terrible ingredients. We are facing a childhood obesity epidemic like never seen before and doctors are now prescribing Ozempic to 11-12 year olds. So, if someone has some medical condition where it’s not their fault, whatever medical conditions you’re talking about, that’s different. But the chronic metabolic diseases are all preventable.
