Hey guys! I filmed and recorded this video at the start of March. It was set to be uploaded right when self-isolating started to be implemented so I held off posting... I know there are still essential workers who could find this info helpful right now, and also others in the future, so I am posting it now. I tried carnivore for a week. It was weird not feeling hungry. I remember so many times I just decided not to eat simply because I didn't feel like eating.

I'm a truck driver, so stopping to make lunch isn't always feasible. So I make some ground beef jerky, and eat a few pieces for lunch. Then I have a slightly more substantial beef dinner. Works great.

That's my husband's issue as an OTR trucker, too. He needs options that don't require cooking or warming up for lunch, but he's sick of meat sticks and jerky. Hard boiled eggs won't work because he doesn't eat eggs and he doesn't like pork rinds. He will either cave and stop for garbage fast food or, more often than not, he'll just wait until he can make himself dinner.

canned smoked oysters (crown prince brand is sold at trader joe's for $3) are great---even though i don't have an office or a lunch break, and even if i did, i prefer to fast. but i noticed these taste amazing room temp, and have no smell. i scarf these down when i have nothing on hand.

Always cook up meat in double quantities so left overs for another meal- burger patties, grilled pork loin steaks or beef steaks sliced into strips, chicken, lamb, etc. Spoon grated fresh Parmesan with a few seasonings onto silicone mat and zap in the microwave for 1 min to make great crispy dippers for egg, shredded chicken, minced spicy pork, or tuna salad with homemade mayo. Sliced hard cheeses or crispy streaky bacon too. Steamed meatballs are great in soups, nice and tender. Boiled eggs are a staple. Thanks for the constantly great content!

I found if I eat some beef liver a couple times week, and add a little more quality lamb or grass fed beef fat, I don't get hungry at all during the day. I get more omega-3 by adding in sardines, anchovies, and cod liver oil.

The ground beef with bacon tastes vastly better with a couple of eggs mixed in during cooking phase, it’s basically my No.1 go to meal when I’m tired of eye fillets. 😀👍🏻🇦🇺

I do a pound of 80/20 ground chuck, cook it 'til no pink remains and drain it, but not entirely. I don't throw the tallow away, I save it to fry other foods, due to its super-high smoke point. I then throw a couple tbs of butter into the beef. Once that's melted, I make four little indents and crack an egg into each one, then put the top on my fry pan. The goal is to cook the egg white but leave the yolk runny. All that goes into a bowl (sometimes with some crumbled bacon) and gets mixed well. The yolks wind up serving as a sauce or gravy. Salt to taste, grab a soup spoon and dig in. Typically, that's my only food in a 24 hour period when I do that. You can dice up and sauté a pound of chicken in place of the beef if you get bored. Use some tallow or bacon grease, spider the chicken out when it's cooked, then fry the eggs in the leftover grease and add them to the chicken when done to your liking. A little sour cream is also good in either version if you can have dairy.

I’m glad I watched this. My family isn’t 100% carnivore but you reminded me of my egg drop soup. I know what I’m making for dinner. My husband’s homemade bone broth and our pasture raised eggs, plus a little seasoning equals supper for pennies.

I like putting boiled cut up eggs in my tuna and mayo with a little mustard. So good. Kettle and Fire bone broth is one of my favorite things to have in the winter at work for lunch.

The competitive people out there suck. It should be you against you. I went from eating every 2 hours, even waking in the middle of the night to eat, to now fasting from 6pm -9am. That's huge for me and proud of it.

I do home health PT so I’m in my car all day. So, even with intermittent fasting, I don’t always make it home in time to eat at home. I love the idea of egg salad & pork rinds! I live in TX so dried sausage & meat sticks have been a convenient staple. Thanks for more great ideas!

you could also add stuff like bacon to the egg salad, In these days of the C quarantine I am stuck at home. My lunch today was simply 2 raw herrings. When I am back at work (the location that is) I will revert to fasting and only eat when I am back home again.

My biggest struggle with carnivore is when I’m driving home after a long and stressful day at work. 10 hours… 14 hours… 17 hours!!! I’m tired and stressed. I pass 3 McDonald’s, 2 Taco Bell’s, a Wendy’s, White Castle and 2 Burger Kings. I GET SERIOUS CRAVINGS when I smell them. My body tweaks out lol. So now I drive home with the windows up.

Cold chicken works for me. Fried or roasted. A cold drumstick or thigh is the best. Cold chicken breast is better in a chicken salad.

I usually pack a part of my evening meal (I cook more just for this) in a tuberware box and add extra butter for lunch and since I can‘t eat breakfast at home cause it is to early I usually have a second smaller box with just cold meat and butter and I have stored hardboiled egg in my office fridge along with a jar of olives lol right now I eat 3 smaller meals per day during workweek and do IF during the weekend cause I often forgot to eat during my days off work but when I skip my late midmorning (I stay up on 5.45am and eat around 8:30 or 9:00) during workdays I‘m to ravenous at lunchtime to just eat my lunch nope then I need a protein bar as a dessert too and not to get into the bad habit to eat protein bars or processed meat aka beef jerky, salami sticks, nuts or ham slices after every lunch I divided my amount of food I usually eat in one or two meals during Saturday and Sunday into 3 meals with added extra fat during my 5 workday week. Since my work is stressful right now I found out I need more fuel but since I‘m T2D, heavily IR, obese amd have a fatty liver I stay away from any food that contains sugar means no processed food, no berries or easy fixes like dairy ok that means buying lots of fresh whole ingredients and cooking myself and with our food industry adapting more and more the US way to produce food means added sugars under 99 different names and adding vegetable oil aka seed oils to anything there is no way to eat takeout for me when I want to avoid „sugar“, starch, grain and vegetable oil like the plague. The only good is if I overlook the sugar they use in sausages which is sometimes under 1g per portion and 1-1.5g per packages lunch meat. By german law it is forbidden to add grain, soy and vegetable oil as fillers into our sausages, they can use sugar in marinades and for curing. Usually a german sausage has 3-4 ingredients means any kind of meat, animal fat means mostly real fatty pork belly, water, spices. A beef sausage can be called beef sausage even when it contains up to 45% pork. If someone is producing sausages for vegans and vegetarians this sausages can‘t be produced in the same plant as regular sausages and the brand has to declare all ingredients and has a banner stating Vegan or Vegetarian so that every shopper knows what he/she is looking at and those sausages and product are in the cooling shelves usually the first you see before you come up next to the processed meals like tv dinners, pre-made sauces, italian fresh pasta and doughs then the lunch meat, bacon and sausages which are only meat, fat, water and spices and after this the pre-packaged meat and then the counter where a butcher or sales person sells you meat and sausages and lunch meat but there has to be declaration signs before every stack of meat, lunch meat and sausage from where it comes and what it contains but we also can ask the sales person from what the sausage is made and what it also contains

I’m having so much trouble with this diet. Im sticking to it but damn it’s not easy. I get tired of the same stuff. These recipes are definitely going to help. I don’t even drink milk anymore because it’s not recommended. But I’m tired of just water

Just started carnivore and found this video, and wanted to say THANK YOU for acknowledging that fasting and omad isn't right for everyone. Prior to starting carnivore I've had many symptoms of gastroparesis for years, which pretty much necessitates grazing all day long on small, easy to digest meals if you don't want to set yourself off and end up doing nothing but liquids for a miserable period to recover. Carnivore is helping that for me - turns out it's some massive food intolerances - but switching all at once from "eat something small every few hours" to "do long fasts and just eat once a day" is way more shock and hardship than I really want to put my body through when the entire point is to regain my health. I've struggled with what to take for lunches at work - tuna and mayo have been my default recently - but ideas for some variety are great! The satiation of the carnivore diet and the lack of chronic inflammation is really starting to help me not have to nibble all the time, but it feels much better to do the transition gradually.

I love sausages, alas, they are a no no due to allergies from what’s used to create the sausage meat. Onion powder, garlic powder, maize powder. Question, why do so many products have soy lecithin in them? Does it have any benefit or drawbacks?

👍 I find cheese satiating. I decided to cut back on nuts because it's so easy to overeat which probably means they are NOT satiating > cashews! & eating too much causes me inflammation, especially at night. I will keep Brazil nuts & walnuts for nutritional benefts as I have more control with those & eat a few in the day coupled with cheese so I dont overeat them. Coming from conventional for all our lives to organic these past 2 weeks - Organic chicken & organic eggs I will now budget (w/ effort) into my family's diet every week. Organic beef - super expensive. What do you think about grass fed Australian beef? I tried it & then realized it wasn't organic & then became disinterested in it.

I usually have a small box with some meat, butter and a boiled egg ... unless I swap the egg with something that would roughly translate to "fat-sausage" in English ... this is 0-carb as good as it gets! But I don't always eat it, then I leave it in the office fridge for the next day, or I bring it home for dinner. On my fasting days I bring nothing :-).

Normally bulk cook brisket, beef cheeks, heart and beef mince or diced lamb. I take a cup of bone broth, a piece of suet and a few small chicken bones for morning tea.

For some people like myself, eating too late in the day can affect people's sleep. I getup at 4am for work, and get back home by 4pm. Preparing dinner takes an hour or 2, this typically ends up me eating at 6pm. I have to be in bed by 9pm, so eating that late just keeps me up all night. If I were eating carbs, it would be different and I wouldn't be watching this video.

I'm 18 weeks pregnant with a big beautiful healthy baby girl. I fast from dinner at 5pm to breakfast the next morning around 8am. It's an unintentional 15hr fast. I'm fasting bc I'm asleep. But I definitely don't IM fast on purpose and I eat when I'm hungry. So someone telling me to fast when I'm hungry wouldn't work for me.

Hi Kait, thanks so much for these ideas! I am a nurse on 10 hour night shift, have been just having black coffee at work after my large evening meal at home, but would love a small meal around 0300-0400 hrs at work as I find I'm getting hungry then. I am usually having bulletproof coffee at 0700 on my days off then no food till evening meal. Its just the night shifts that are a problem.

I appreciate this video. I'm considering coming off keto 60 days to try carnivore but I eat lunch on the go and not really sure how that would work. I currently do a Garden of Life Raw Meal shake most days for lunch which is very convenient and filling but not carnivore, obviously. I agree with the one comment below that when you grill always make more so that you have leftovers which can make for a simple quick lunch the next day. Blessings, Daniel

Most sausages will probably be made with rice flour, so not the best option for stricter carnovores.

I've been eating mostly carnivore without even knowing it was a thing. It's only since February 2019 that I played around with my diet and it was BAD. I'm so happy to be back to my regular meals which was/is: Breakfast sausages, egg and cheese on a tortilla wrap Lunch:Chicken strip wrap cheese Dinner: A burger maybe two. The veggie life was an interesting experiment but no thank you.

Cold sausage? No problem I eat cold pork chops 😂😂😂 My fav is take 2 or 3 pounds of hamburger, spread it in a broiler pan from edge to edge. 450 for 20 minutes (I don't even preheat). Pour of the grease, sprinkle on cheese and bacon, pepperoni or whatever. Back in now under the broiler for 3 minutes until cheese is starting to brown, cut like brownies. Eat hot and put the leftovers in the fridge or freezer. I'll also eat these cold but better hot.

I could never do the fast during the day since I like to drink coffee during the day and would be fine if I could do black coffee, or even add sweetener that did not spike insulin, but I add Heavy Cream, which will break the fast. Tried to drink coffee without but just can't do it.

Cold pizza still tastes good. I can't speak to the hangover, as I haven't been hungover since I started Keto years ago. Pretty good by product of Keto if you ask me. But cold pizza will always be good. 😋😋😋

I can't do eggs, sadly. Often, I munch on cold bacon around 2 pm to hold me over until dinner around 6

I like to grill chicken and slice it thin and eat that cold, also tuna and hard boiled eggs, sometimes cottage cheese

Can you fast all day when you have an early AM workout, go to work all day, then just eat dinner? I’m just nervous about working out fasted and then not eating all day.

Doesn’t work for me to fast through the day , like I fast but my six hour window to eat is early afternoon and right when I get home and then fast the night and morning . Don’t like to eat before bed . I do a 18/6 fast predominantly.

My pizza looks like that: bottom/cheese ( no matter whish one), do some tomato paste on it with seasoning like U wanna do...than Paprika, Salami or what ever you want for flesh or sausage ( yeah..processes food...i know...but one time in two weeks...who cares) than again cheese and....it s a pizza whith perhabs 7-10 carbs?? Or less? Love it and didn t stop my "beeing in fatburnmod" N.g. Sigi

Rcmnd chicken salad with bacon bits and cheese. You can get the meat off a Costco Rotisserie chicken or buy canned chicken breast. Primal kitchen mayo is clean and good tasting.

Why do I keep getting cramps in my legs? Been Keto/Carnivore for about a month and two weeks. Taking electrolytes once a day, and a magnesium supplement once or twice a day. :(

Hi apparently sauges are made with some sugar in it unfortunately, you cant buy them at the grocery you have to make them yourself i tend to stay clear of sausages

kait, could you address "vegan collagen" sometime? i don't think people understand that that's not a thing. there are literally face "vegan collagen" face creams and there's a mysterious ingredient called "vegetable collagen". 🙄

I think that Dr Chaffee has claimed fasting is not necessary, all the health benefits of intermittent fasting are attributed to detoxification from not eating sugars or carbs. If you’re already on a sugar and carb free diet fasting doesn’t make a difference

I can do raw egg but not cooked for some reason . When i try to eat cooked eggs i get sick . When i eat raw well drink i feel fine .

Great, easy Carnivore ideas Kait!!! I love this! I'm doing a 30-day carnivore challenge right now, and I currently only do either pork, beef, or sausage with dairy. But I would love to try the tinned fish mayo salad!! And also didnt know that about Wendy's and McDonald's! They let you order the patty a la carte?

Yes, my husband and I have done that a few times when on the road. They are both very accommodating. We like Wendy's maybe a bit better.
