My grandfather was born late 1800s, 1898; died 2003; 105 yrs old. At 85, 6' 3" 235lbs; very muscular, abs people die for; looked like a bodybuilder, very low bodyfat, but he never lifted weights. He grew up in a time where there were no grocery stores, no electricity, no refrigeration, etc. If u wanted to live, to survive; u grew ur own food, raised cattle, raised chickens, raised ducks, go fishing, etc. Every day was hard labor; chopping wood, tending crops, tending to all the animals. He got up before sunrise, got home well after sunset. He ate lots of eggs; a dozen & more every day: lots of chickens, lots of eggs; no refrigeration, eggs will spoil. He ate lots of meats & fish & seafoods, all varieties of meats & seafoods; whatever he raised, caught or hunted. He ate a very high protein diet & huge quantities: would bankrupt a modern buffet with his appetite. He was a martial artist; his day began before sun up; 4am, he's doing calisthenics; "to get the blood flow going". He drank this fire wine with his breakfast; "to wake u up". The same routine when he got home, even the fire wine; "to help u go to sleep". My grandfather was the fittest person I've ever seen, he never got sick, yet lived a very strenuous life. I strive every day, just to be a fraction of a man that my grandfather was. I try to emulate him as best as possible. He was doing something right; combination of proper diet & extremely rigorous daily life.

My aunt in Italy lived to 106yrs ate pasta, veggies, fruits and little meat cause only rich people could afford it, in her old age she drank milk at night, super strong woman, she ate what we call a Med Diet, which is THE most studied diet and has the most change of extending life as it has many of the ingredients that lower inflammation, low IgF1, high in anti oxidants, low in AgE's etc, but maybe it was her genetics

@@nancyblockcolsky1387 Try weeks. You're right that you don't have to put eggs in the fridge until after you've wiped off the protective layer, but they can last much longer than a week. The internet will tell you 2 weeks, but I know people who will leave them on the counter for over a month. And I live in Florida where "room temperature" is much warmer than most places. My hens put out 6-7 eggs a day and I eat 4-5 and I have about 20 in my skelter and some are at least 2 weeks old and I never get sick.

Fought for the Partisans in WWII versus the Germans....they don't breed these men of steel anymore - we are all a bit soft with our modern lifestyles.

@@junk_rig_sailor1698 Both my grandfathers fought in WWII, but against the Japanese. Aforementioned grandfather acquired a US military jeep & still had it. My other grandfather from my mother's side was part of the US army; got captured at Corregidor' survived the Bataan death march. My father's father didn't start as a soldier; but became a guerilla fighter. The story he tells; he came upon a group of US soldiers in a jeep fleeing the Japanese: not all US soldiers were captured. They're jeep broke down or ran out of gas. He protected these soldiers. The Japanese eventually came; they burned the village, killed the men, captured the women. Those that escaped; were hiding in the cellar my grandfather & great grandfather built. A trapdoor entrance with steps leading down into a huge room; this was used for storage; a refrigerator of sorts lol. Trapdoor entrance u wouldn't even know it was there; underground hidden chamber. Crammed full of people, everyone my grandfather & great grandfather could save. They had nothing; everything was destroyed & burned; the animals, the Japanese took with them. That's how my grandfather became a guerilla fighter; not just him, but many other able bodied men; survivors. You are correct; they don't breed these men of steel anymore; modern lifestyle makes us soft; majority of people are fat & overweight.

I enjoy Dr. Chaffee. He is no nonsense. Nearly 2 years ago, my twin sister who lives in Mexico (I'm in "Don't mess with Texas" Texas) called me that she was diagnosed with breast cancer and was having surgery. She decided to go vegan, not chemo. I tried to support her effort by at least going high fiber low meat. I had never heard of Carnivore. Then I heard about OMAD and a young woman with scleroderma which has dogged me for 20 years. 29 days ago I began fasting and the last 2+ weeks have eaten only animal products. Although I bought some rib eye, it's still hard to eat because of a lack of saliva. My sister has taken almost 2 years to feel better. I have felt better in one month. I noticed in 2021 after the vaccine that I had shortness of breath scaling the stairs. Yesterday I didn't lose breath. Also I noticed a few days ago that my complexion looked like glass. I'm 75 years of age...how can that be? I can't tell you the hope that has been delivered to me. It's one thing to be a meat eater and young, but to see improvement as a senior is surely a sign that Carnivore is healthy. BTW I haven't told my twin sister. Of course I want her to live long and strong, but she is pretty argumentative, so I have decided to pursue this diet and let my appearance and mood be the proof. Thank you Lily for your many helpful broadcasts.

Mediterranean woman here, been suffering from Irritable Bowel since my 20s!! Always had issues with absorbing iron and magnesium. Some meals, especially dinner, would give me excruciating pains, my stomach and intestines became hard like rocks… 😢 I always had to lay on my belly right after dinner to alleviate the pain. Doctors diagnosed me with “Dyspepsia” and prescribed me with… are you ready?… Proton Pump Inhibitors!!!! Makes absolutely no sense!!! I always noticed that after eating fatty burger patties and steak, I always felt good; there was something about beef that was incredibly satisfying. But no one ever told me that my symptoms could be due to an exhausted digestive system that was sick and tired of digesting heavy foods such as kale, broccoli, beans, lentils, chickpeas, bell peppers, aubergines,… Some days I would be so bloated in the evening that I looked 4 months pregnant! And I kept doubling down on all the allegedly healthy stuff!! 😢😢😢 I had brain fog, low energy, low alertness, anxiety, palpitations, bad sleep, arthritic pains, hair loss, massive hair loss, 😢😢😢 I can’t believe i went all my life until now, when I’m 40!!, not knowing about any of this, doctors were absolutely clueless. And my parents, they didn’t know better either!! Literally, first day carnivore : no pains, just a slight discomfort. Complete restful night sleep. Second day carnivore: increased energy, motivation and a self confidence that I believe comes from a good night sleep, no bloating and no brain fog. No stomach pains in the evening. Third day carnivores: no stomach pains in the evening. Honestly, I’m grateful and shocked at the same time. Now I’m focused on starting to exercise regularly and hoping the arthritic pains in my neck, lower back and hands also recovers. I think i lived all my life under nutritional deficit despite all the money i spent on food. I’m disheartened and shocked but also very grateful that at 40 I have the blessing of accessing this life changing informed from people who themselves look so incredibly healthy!!!

Unfortunately i still keep these foods in my life. Other than that, im all about eggs, butter, beef and lamb; smoked salmon and sardines. That’s pretty much what i eat; a bit boring but honestly I can’t believe i am not suffering anymore with those stabbing stomach aches … I sometimes get up from the sofa and literally can’t believe my stomach isn’t aching; in the past, i couldn’t sit on the sofa for 5 minutes after dinner, that was fatal. I would develop excruciating pain on my stomach and then i would need to lay down in my belly and help my stomach relax and pass gas… it was so hard. :( Those pains are gone. I will continue with this diet and try my best to eat mostly carnivore. @@christinewimer5523 yes, it is unbearable, it really affects the quality of life. I once had to escape momentarily from a dinner at a friend’s to lay myself down on my belly on the floor of my friend’s bathroom!! That’s how excruciating the pain and bloating were! I stay there on the floor, flat on my stomach, for a good 15 mins, until i could feel better and return to the social gathering… I mean… i don’t miss those days. Im 3 months carnivore and i will never go back to eating fruits and vegetables or milk because it simply ruins everything. I don’t even miss them! I used to absolutely love them! I don’t miss them. Why? Because to live without pain is far superior of an existence than living with lots of flavor texture and options but riddled with inflammation and pain. I also quit caffeine. I believe coffee is a very toxic drink, actually just look at the color of that thing, it’s literally dirty water. I drank coffee ever since I was a kid, and i thought I would never ever quit coffee because it’s so satisfying at breakfast. But you know what? I quit it. And immediately after, my skin got better and my sore throat got much less pronounced. I congratulate you for starting carnivore. Your life will 100% improve! My foods are: meat (all meats!), eggs (lots of them), bacon, whole cream, real butter and occasionally cheese. I also eat fish- mostly oily fish (sardines, mackerel, salmon, sea bass, seafood, octopus, cod). There’s plenty of options to combine these foods and I am never ever hungry and never ever jittery or weak - as i used to often feel in the past. So again: im happy you’re giving it a try. I am very confident you’ll see differences immediately. Keep me posted if you can.

One note on the "blue zones": people should really look into old cookbooks. The section about Sardinia in my Italian cookbook ("Die echte italienische Küche"/"The real Italian kitchen", it's in German and was released 30 years ago) says that the Sardinian diet is based on dairy products, fish and meat. There's bacon in basically every dish, even the plant based ones. No word about tons of veggies.
@cezar39772 жыл бұрын
Almost all of the "blue zones" are islands. If not, then they are coastal regions. How can anyone think that people who live by the sea wouldn't consume seafood? Sardinia is so famous for their sheep. Why do the people there keep so many sheep? Just for the wool? Ever heard of "casu marzu"? The vegan cultists just parrot "blue zones, blue zones, blue zones". There's nothing in the blue zones that supports their narrative. Viel Spaß beim Zubereiten der Rezepte 😉

@@heavennoel3242 fair enough. Acupuncture and “holistic” remedies are often expensive, and (like chiropractic) frequently make claims that they cannot support with evidence. I’m a licensed massage therapist and we frequently saw “alternative” health ideas being promoted in school, which always irked me. I no longer practice apart from family (I am a technical writer professionally) but it made me very aware of how insidious some of these ideas are, and I always recommend checking the scientific journals before splashing out cash on woo. There's so much more profit in human made foods than there is in natural whole foods. It's no different than when cigarette companies convinced the world that smoking was good for you. When the evidence started to build that grains and sugar were bad for you (1940-1960's, I believe), they did the same thing that cigarette companies did, they blamed meat and dairy. Why? 32:39 As a Catholic, we do not eat meat on Fridays (no beef, chicken, or pork). But we could eat fish. So we eat salmon or other fish, sardines, or just eggs. We do that as a penance on Friday because that's the day that Jesus died on the Cross for us. This goes to show that the Catholic Church knows how good meat is for us: that giving up red meat, chicken, pork, or other kinds of meat would truly be a penance. If those kinds of meats were not good for us, especially red meat, it would not be a big deal in giving them up on Friday. But, to have fish one day of the week is not necessarily a bad thing. We can still get good nutrition from fish, especially Omega 6. I much prefer a ribeye but for penance and my faith, I'm willing to give it up on Fridays. ✝️🙏🏼✝️

I feel like if you are concerned about the unethical nature in which factory produced meat is raised, you're in the right track. Find local farms that raise their animals the way you would raise them and make sure they only have one bad day. Use your local butcher that will help you make sure we can then honor that animal in the best way possible by using as much of it as you are willing to. Learn to cook from scratch. It makes a huge difference. Also, the impact on the environment of shipping your food halfway across the world in a broken food system is staggering when you think about it. I'm doing hyper carnivore and I feel awesome. Way better than I ever felt when I was eating leafy greens and broccoli. I dont get the logic behind these people's arguments. So they are telling me in order to be healthy I need to go to a diet that makes me feel bad and makes me hungry every hour. I mean when I was eating carbs I couldn't eat enough and was constantly hungry and bloated and brain fog was ridiculous. The only plant I eat now is avacado and zero carb zero calorie Louisiana hot sauce and spices with about 2 pounds of beef a day and I eat a can of sardines here and there and the brain fog disappeared completely and my gut feels incredibly satisfied and lean and empty and hard to explain but I use the bathroom once a day sometimes every other day but when I was eating plants it was like 3 times a day. My energy is awesome and constant. The only downside was day 3 and 4 I had a horrible headache and felt like my brain was going to explode but I woke up that 5th day and the headache was gone along with the brain fog and now 2 months later I'm down 24 pounds and have built lean muscle without even working out. I recommend, if you're going to try something like NTT/Carnivore, you really ease into it progressively rather than going 100% strict straight off the bat. Also; expect a MUCH longer transition period than the narrative (1 week) and, hopefully, you're pleasantly surprised to the contrary. I'd love to see these 'studies' on Cholesterol and High protein. I have cholesterol and kidney issues and am continually told by doctors to go plant based for both issues.

It not right. The war on cholesterol is based on a false premise. Cholesterol is not the culprit, insulin resistance is, from sugar and carbs. This thing really works. Also, if you are on a statin med, kick it to the curb. Its to cut cholesterol, which shouldn't happen. Good luck.

Hi Lillie, I found your videos last week. I am 55 and my doctor told me last week that I have severe arthritis in my left hip. I have been a heavy carb eater all my life. Played high level sports for a long time. I am heavy and sore all the time. even though I would work out I pushed through the pain. Should I go straight to carnivore or should I do a keto transition first. do you have any recommendations for my arthritis. I need to lose about 40lbs. thanks for posting your videos I am very happy to have found them.

I would advise keto first, using only whole foods meat and veg, and transition to carnivore. Do your research, I like Dr. Ken Berry and make sure you get your electrolytes. Good luck, you should start feeling much better very quickly

I second the keto transition. You should also look up dr Ken Berry. He has a KZbin channel with a lot of information that I think you may find useful. I also was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune illness that attacks my joints. I started out keto and within a couple weeks felt relief from the pain. I’ve been carnivore for 3 weeks and I keep getting better. Good luck with your health journey. I pray you find relief soon.

Try carnivore :) 58yr old was in good shape most life got out of shape in my late 40s ballooned to 275+ lbs so at 56 started carnivore and now stable at 175-180 lbs which was my weight most my life and more important I do not feel old anymore no joint pains no waking up and creaking cracking to get the joints working and no more brain fog again truly life changing beyond what I can say Took about 8+ months to get weight down and just over a year no cravings for anything junk none at all and actually now if I try a bite of my kids stuff its nasty :) Best of luck and I am sure it will truly change your life

@@ckmaui that is really reassuring. I thought I was invincible . It has caught up to me. I never really stopped moving however like you say creaking and cracking and pains. Joints needed to lube up. To find out I now have severe arthritis in my hip really made me mad at myself. I treat my car and bike engines better than my own body. I have to get my head around am I getting enough fat, electrolytes etc. over time do you just know by looking at something? I am not afraid of any meats will eat it all.

I went 95% meat but dropped all sugar and all flour (& stuff with flour of any kind) and all items with any seed oil. Amazingly zero cravings as the meat keep me satiated (I did hard core vego, raw 10 years ago [and I felt good for a while] but the cravings were horrendous), On this i dropped 8 Kg in 3 weeks. About 6 weeks in. I feel like I should feel and I know that really what has happened is an extreme exclusion diet, that makes me feel 100% better. PS one side of my family all had cholesterol off the charts - They all lived to late 90's and past 100 and mostly not needing much care at the end of their journey, Ive known for while that the SAD diet is corrupted.

I am 72 and have a few minor health problems. I have been through all the BS about food. I remember when milk, eggs, butter and fat will kill you, well that is all BS! I am not on a 100% strict meat diet but do on occasion have a little milk or some honey in my coffee. I have cut my carbs and sugar down to very low levels and yes some of my medical thing have gone away and I am feeling better than ever. Also I use to have multiple head aches daily, I have been eating this way for 2 weeks now and have been totally head aches free. I will stay eating like this for sure. Facts are Carbs and Sugar will kill you! Yes the colon on fiber works very hard and my body was producing tons of waste, now I have very little waste, and my colon is working very little!

Even if it's true you will live shorter but feel great, that's a trade off I'm willing to make. My mom is 99 years old but has felt terrible the last 19 years or so. She survives mostly on carbs with a small amount of cheese.

David Sinclair has never looked half as healthy as Dr Chaffee in his entire life. I would personally prefer a shorter life if it was happier and healthier than a long miserable life!

what i would find super helpful in these interviews is for a list of the actual studies that are referenced so that we can read them ourselves. I just typed in "medical studies that show protein is bad for kidneys" and i cannot find one STUDY listed, just statements from medical sites

I have only saw a little of Dr Sinclair's stuff, but from what i have seen he states that 3 things increased longevity in (MICE & MONKEYS) 1 fasting, 2 stay slightly cool and 3 reduce amino acids.
