I was Peter's record producer when he was with Fallout and I played the Synthesizer Soundscape War bits on the Carnivore LP... I used my OB TVS1 which I still own.... I also got Carnivore their manger which got them the record deal and I was inline to be the producer but... the label went with their guy... it happens. I also played on Type O stuff.

When he Peter Steele became the leader of Type O Negative he really went to the next level ;they are an all-time great band. Nobody sounded like them not even Black Sabbath.

You can clearly see this was pre type O Negative but has elements that are shared between both bands this sounds more like their first album two albums.

Pretty sure this would be considered doom metal tho but yea, Carnivore were mostly thrash, but all the big original thrash metal bands were influenced by Sabbath (doom), I'm guessing

Thrash with doom influence and riffs like this one
@screamsfromthegrave33245 жыл бұрын
Carnivore were technically a thrash metal/crossover thrash type band. This song is a doom metal song you are correct, the reason for that being this wasn't actually a Carnivore song originally it was a song for Peter Steele's band before Carnivore called Fallout. You can find the Fallout version on youtube, it was an unreleased recording that was done for a demo but it never saw an actual release.

wow.people now & forever.metalheads,shit even pure(I guess this would be an oxymoron or a double negative...I'm sure somebody will correct me whatever the case)anyway...even pure posers STILL LOVE to micro manage the SHIT out of metal.metal, regardless of whatever genre you want to box it into & the hardcore listeners are THE MOST OBNOXIOUS OF ALL SELF-PROCLAIMED "EXPERTS".I'd call it "The Executioner."by Fallout or Carnivore.everyone thinks they know it all... and respectfully most of you know more about music than most "professional experts" in the music industry.but like the "professionals" y'all have one tiny problem... you think you know so much about music except writing,playing,touring the smell of a club before it opens & how your boots stick to the floor as you walk to the stage for sound-check because the Oi!band that played the night before threw more beer than they drank.or the fact that you have to headbang & play a song like it's your favorite.when in reality you've hated since the day after EVERYONE HAD TO HEAR IT.ever get dumped by your significant other...8,000km/ml. away from home or hear a friend died & STILL act like you're having the time of your Life...?no?huh,with all this practical,first hand knowledge of everything I figured some of you had.this isn't directed @ you personally.just seems like everytime I want to just enjoy some tuneage, people feel the need to shut down someone who might be hearing something for the first time and post something they had no idea about. feedback & teaching is 1 thing.people crushing the obviously ubernoobs til they never want to hear metal again is lame.because when we were them we NEVER said anything completely idiotic to the "cool kids"trying to be one of them & instead of putting a cool guy notch in your bullet belt, you went home wanting to hang yourself w/ your Hot Topic genuine, imitation leather Saxon G-string.killer upload.thanks.

Peter’s speaking voice was so high (to be Peter Steele lol) back then. I knew it couldn’t naturally be that deep
@chasethecolors7 ай бұрын
Are you saying he can’t actually sing as deep as in the records? Or just that he couldn’t as a young adult. Cause even though he sings higher in concert much of the time, he definitely can sing really deep.
@NicoleBe7 ай бұрын
@@chasethecolors I meant that I think that he trained himself to make his speaking voice deeper
