My mom has always had high LDL and HDL!! She is 88, walks 1 to 2 miles daily, has a personal trainer, drives, reads book after book, does word puzzles, puts together very difficult quilts, runs errands for all of her ‘elderly’ friends, etc. The doctor told her she will never die of a heart related issue!!

All I can say is many years ago, I was told your cholesterol is high 205 to 210, they wanted me to take statins over 27 years ago. I never did, still no issues. I was jealous of my friends because they were 150 to 170, they are both on medication today, one even needed stents. My other friend had a heart attack at 45, his cholesterol was low. I know one thing for a fact, I had a stroke on the western diet. I switched to keto, the moment I said keto to my doctor gasped and said, No. Warned me to stop, my dietician told me to tell my doctor that I'm on a "High protein, low carb". I went in for labs and my doctor said.. Whatever your doing is working. I'm down 45 lbs in 4 months and my a1c is great. I reversed type 2 dibetes. I'm now able to hit the gym for the first time in 10 years. I'm doing what I need to. I'm so tired of all the bad advice. I eat one meal a day and am reversing some of the severe blood pressure issues that led to the stroke. I'm healthy, I feel good. I've changed my life with the help of youtube doctors.

I'm 64, I have been low carb for over 25 years, carnivorous for over 5 years. I am not taking any medication, super active, all my health metrics are within the "perfect" range, except for LDL cholesterol being 200 mg/dL, my HDL is 70 and my triglycerides < 50. He always sounds like he knows that he knows everything because “obviously.” That’s a characteristic in doctors I’ve noticed who were wrong and never came back to tell me they learned that they were wrong. This happened in the hospitalization of my kiddo as she was nearing very scary danger and thankfully there was one doctor who spent most of his time asking me & my kiddo questions, said “I’m not sure, I will look into this and see you very soon.” He took a day or two to go over data, and came back with his findings and asked if I was okay with the risks vs outcome. He gave us his direct cell number and he saw the single parent fear in my eyes, I know that. I will never forget that one doctor during a ten day hospital stay with my nine year old. I was shocked during that experience when I learned this: One only doctor in ten days was listening. The rest were talking.

7 years keto-carnivore. Last checked, my cholesterol was over 600. My doctor (who is a vegan) said she’d never seen a number that high. But all my ratios were good. I talked to her about the “Lean mass hyper responder” studies going on and she’d never heard about it. But then it came out in the news, so I’m hoping she read it. LOL I had a rare cancer at 30, went into remission at 35, then got a liver tumor at 40. Needless to say, I freaked out realizing the doctors were just going to start the whole deadly poison cycle all over again. I wasn’t about to just surrender to their torture, so I did a ton of research and discovered the healing power of autophagy & ketones. After a year of intense therapeutic keto and fasting (no doctor) the tumor (as well as several scar tissue masses) had shrunk. As of now the tumor in my liver is gone. The scar tissue is gone from the previous chemo. I healed my gut and my neuropathy. I cured my pre-diabetes symptoms. And I have more energy than I did at 20. It’s unbelievable. But what it’s shown me: WE ARE BEING POISONED. Doctors do NOT heal. They medicate. And the “conventional wisdom” is killing us. Which means either the “experts” don’t care. Or they’re complicit. 🫤

Speaking of LDL, Mic says ‘in my opinion…’ He might as well have stopped there and saved his breath (it appears he needs to conserve his limited energy). Unless Mic understands the function of LDL in Bella’s body, he has no basis for any opinion. Reading a bit of statistics on one million people to derive an average brings us no closer to knowing what Bella’s situation is. Unless Mic can point to actual heart disease in her body, his entire video is smoke and mirrors without substance. Similar to Bella, I do have LDL in the mid 300 range. I’ve done CT angiograms and CAC tests and have zero heart disease. Has anyone ever died of ‘hypothetical disease’, Mic, or do they die of actual disease only?

Your calm demeanor is refreshing. Thank you. I might be going off the range a little, but I think this is an effect of a particular marketing technique which involved making people angry, judging other people, and feeling morally superior. It's a very powerful marketing technique that boarders on addiction due to the dopamine hit that people get without even lifting a finger. Because it's very effective and monetized, it is very common these days from individuals to major corporations. It's really killed people's ability to converse and hold two opposing thoughts in their head at the same time. This technique has been around for a long, long time, but I think modern technology which allow for mass communication has greatly increased the effect of it.

If you are vegan because you value animal life above your own that’s very commendable. But to argue it is an optimal human diet is quite frankly dishonest. Taking the moral ground doesn’t change the fact we evolved eating a predominantly animal meat diet. Plant food lacks the saturated fat our bodies require to thrive and the fact you have to eat copious amounts of plant matter to gain nutrients should be a good indicator of its quality

Regarding atherosclerosis, inflammation is the issue. The plaque is the body trying to protect itself. If you have a skinned knee and don't form a scab and subsequent scar, you will be bleeding from the injury until you die. This is similar to the damage in an artery triggering he body to create a plaque to protect the integrity of the artery. Would you rather not cover the arterial wound and allow it to expand, and then cause arterial rupture? How do we reduce chronic inflammation? That is better question.
