I got one since two weeks, and I think it’s a very good car. Very quiet, the auto gearbox does very well what it is supposed to do. The. b&o soundsystem is very nice too. Pink Floyd fits perfekt... The last 8 years I have driven Golf Plus and Sportsvan. Both very practical but boring. Now I have a smile on my face every time I get into the car.

One thing to consider about the vignale is the value on the used market. £16k will get a nearly new one with less than 10,000 miles which makes it much more appealing than it was at base price.

Thx for the review and answering my questions. I ordered a Vignale in Diffused silver, because in the Netherlands a Titanium or ST line with options similar to a Vignale became too expensive in the lease rate. Too bad you noticed little difference in noise because of the double glass.
@CarObsession5 жыл бұрын
No worries Michel, my pleasure. As I said in the video, I may notice a bigger difference in sound if I drove the Vignale and another Focus model back-to-back, but there didn't seem to be a massive difference. The road noise doesn't help, though. Thanks for watching!
@calculus775 жыл бұрын
Hi Michel, I hope you are happy with your Vignale. We've had ours (same color, btw 😀👍) for 6 months and 10 000 km, and it's a nice car. It's not as quiet or comfortable as the 2015 Mondeo Titanium with lots of extras we had before, but it's _a lot_ more fun to drive and practically as spacious as the Mondeo. The 18" wheels look cool, but on the coarse Finnish road surfaces (most people drive with studded tires in the winter) they are quite noisy indeed. In winter we have 16" studless Nordic winter tires (Hakka R3) and they are very quiet (had them first on the car for 6 or 7 weeks). The contrast is huge. In Finland you have to order the 18" wheels, if you want the adaptive LED headlights. So called "Style pack". Go figure. 🙄 The adaptive LEDs are excellent, though! Highly recommended. 😎

If Ford offered the Focus hatch or estate here in the USA with a 6-speed manual, I'd buy one for sure! But I don't think I'd chose the Vignale, even if it was offered. I'd go with the ST-Line or Titanium trims

The backseat from MK3 is much better. It has more slopes that better support your knees. Here in MK4, it looks flat 4:53. As a Focus fan and owner, I think the new MK4 is really beautiful and symmetry but it lacks character, in my opinion (they play it too safe!). The MK3 has more style and it looks unique. Well, it's not available in my country anyway lol. Can't complain much. At least, the MK4 has a new transmission! Thank you for the review! I finally know how to pronounce "Vinale".

A manual transmission is a great welcome... But i reckon ut could have done with more power... 1.5 seems too low for a ford estate. By the way i love your presentation. I have a suggestion, can you include in gear acceleration figures?
@CarObsession5 жыл бұрын
Hello Cyril, thanks for watching. I thought the 1.5 litre would feel a bit weedy, but believe me, it doesn't 👌 Thanks for the feedback in regard to in-gear acceleration figures, but car brands don't always give out this kind of information, especially for more 'humdrum' cars such as this, plus I don't think it's information that a lot of viewers would be craving unless it's some sort of performance car.

I have one more question, does this 1.5 EB have decent torque from low revs for easy manuvering, parking etc. Or you must give it a lot of gas everytime you release the clutch because the engine would stall without the turbo pushing?

Hi Martin, thanks for watching. Yes, you're dead right, the Active X I tested did have 18" alloys (I had forgotten that). I'd have to drive the cars back to back, but I'd say the Active X is more comfortable.
@revotee82825 жыл бұрын
Active doesnt have longer suspension, higher ground clearance has been made with different suspension arms (I dont know how they are different). So, Active cant be more comfortable than Vignale (if same tyres).

Sorry for the late response on this one, I've recently moved property so life has been very busy. You know what Daniel, I was reviewing a car a few weeks ago (can't remember what it was, but not really relevant), I went to refer to it as the transmission tunnel and I stopped and thought "what am I on about, there's so transmission running down there".
