I finally understand my undertone!! I have been SO confused for years because I fit into every category. I am definitely fully neutral! I didn’t think that was possible being a natural redhead ( very vibrant copper hair) with deep hazel eyes. ( starburst with wheel pattern). I did all of your tests including fully neutral and now I am certain. Thank you!!

So helpful! I always thought I was deep, but something is missing from deep for me, and I have light (sometimes medium) warm hair. Definitely see my colours spanning the deep and muted palettes. It's like they were made for me!!! 🎉🎨 ❤🙌🏻

I am those rare cases where I’m deep neutral. Every color looks great on me. But the best color on me is neutral brown. I get a lot of compliments when I wear brown.

same but on me I like to wear copper/rust but everyone tells me that I also look extremely good in (navy) blue which are basically complimentary. So I guess it's true neutral then.

same with me i have neutral undertone, because my veins are green purple and blueish in my hand, and on my face there is small veins that look purple that really obvious if i look it really really closely at mirror but if looking it not close up,the veins is not visible i think i more look good when wearing black,red (blueish or orangey still look good) ,navy blue/dark blue,white,baby pink,violet/lilac,pastel color. kind of glad that i'm neutral undertone because before it,i tought i have warm undertone and it is wrong.

I am a true neutral. It's impossible to find a foundation that matches my skin.

Please check out Alima Pure! They carry foundations in five different undertones: Warm, Cool, Neutral, Beige, and Olive. Each undertone has 7-9 different depths, and you can order samples to test! Every foundation I'd ever tried before was either too warm, too cool, or in the neutral's case-too saturated. I always felt so ugly wearing foundation, and so I never wore it. I discovered Alima Pure a year ago, ordered samples from every undertone, and was completely shocked to find out that I'm an olive 0. Tbh didn't know pasty Caucasian people could have olive skin lmao. The match is beyond perfect, and the quality of the foundation is incredible. I've worked with a lot of makeup artists from doing modeling, and none of them have ever even noticed when I've shown up with foundation already on. They think it's just my skin. I promise-Alima Pure has a match for you. They changed my life.

@@rosemaxx3987 that's great!! I really hope you find a match! Just a heads up that I was initially incorrect in guessing my level of depth so all of my samples were too dark, but I was still able to find out what undertone I was from them and then ordered that in a shade lighter.

Yes me too!!! Cool tones would look too red, warm too yellow, and then neutral was always too orange...so annoying how much they saturate most shades. Some of us are very muted...

I’ve been so confused about this my whole life with my olive skin tone. I just assumed I was warm, but after watching a bunch of your videos I think I might be deep winter.. I have wheel eyes, but don’t burn and look better in gold, but also look best with a deep dark ash brown hair and blue red lip stick. No wonder I can’t figure this out, lol. I uploaded my picture to a page that analyzes it and tells you your season and it said deep winter.

And looking back at my usual thoughts about pure summer palette, I could never understand, why most purples look bad on me? And today you showed the muted summer palette, and I understood that every color shown on it works great on me. It never happened to me before with any other color analysis! You're a genius! This is confusing. If I look at the photos I look similar to a light summer (warm-neutral) but warm colours don't suit me as well as cool colours. I can wear SOME warm colours (warm blues for example. Blues of all tones look good on me) but not all (orange? Yellow? YUCK!) My closet foundation and concealer match is neutral with a very slight coolness. ANY amount of warm looks totally off. If I use a full on cool toned foundation it looks dark no matter how light the shade is. I am curious to find a FULLY neutral foundation to see how that would look but most have at least a bit of a cool or warm tone. My neck pretty much has no colour. Oh and my hair was honey blonde as a child and is dark dirty/ash blonde now. Ashy with some golden highlights. My eyes have multiple different patterns from both the warm and cool category.
@killianrosebay3 жыл бұрын
it is possible though right? bc I still have no idea, every colour looks fine on me and my skin looks different depending on if its cool or warm out. my skin is yellow and purple idk why its purple it just is also its a bit pink at times and i, I am constantly covered in purple splotches. really depending on the colours I wear that impacts if I look cool or warm. in natural lighting if its cool out im more cool and if its warm out im more warm. my friends are always in awe of how every colour looks good on me and I base the colour I wear on if its warm or cool out since it will match that way. and I also recently discovered there is no foundation that matches my skin its either too warm or too cool or not neutral enough. I also can look fully colourless like a pure snow white colour in the winter which could be because of my allergy to the cold but I start getting welts and turn red when that happens so im not sure. I just really hope to find answers or maybe I am just fully neutral.

Sounds like you just have thin/translucent skin in general with a light olive tone? Translucency in skin can come across cool in cool light/colours because of visible veins, arteries and blood vessels (arteries and blood vessels especially can come across as purple) but the wash of olive tone can come out warm in warm light/colours. The skin tone thing has to be taken with a grain of salt anyway because if you don’t have “healthy/normal skin”, or have a skin conditions like rosacea or melasma for example- they can sway your results if you don’t think critically about yourself beyond that Also colour theory focuses mostly on the face, but most people are not one shade all over. Most people are paler in the body, and if your skin is translucent that is especially true. So certain colours will go better with your body tone than your face tone, allowing you to wear both warm and cool fairly evenly. In this case, dress for what you want to emphasise: your cool body or warm face. If that’s you in the photo, although I can see some pink in ur skin ur features look deeper and warmer; because of dark and full hair, darker/deeper set eyes, darker fuller eyebrow and the slight orange-brown tint in the lip. so, I would suggest maybe you are warmer in the face if we disregard skin tone? However Your arm looks lighter and more pink, so maybe you are cooler in the body. Ultimately tho, confidence and comfort makes anything look good, regardless of undertones I’m not an expert tho, this is just a hobby lol

So....if we think we are fully neutral we need to reassess? Is it actually ok to really be in the middle? understandably so, our unique genes would make it nearly impossible to be exactly in the middle literally, but since so much depends on the viewpoint of the observer, lighting, time of day and quality of still photograph would it really be far-fetched for an individual to truly look best in a fully neutral palette? I'm a dark skinned woman (very little effort is actually put into analyzing our tone so I really do not trust anyone to be an expert.) But within each seasonal palette, there are colors that look awful on me!

I’m African-American with neutral warm skin tone, and medium-deep (1Y11 at Sephora color IQ if that helps). With auburn hair and grey eyes. Does that mean I can wear autumn and winter colors? Does the warmth of my hair with the coolness of my eyes mean I should wear muted colors rather than bright? Thanks so much!!

This is why people keep calling me "soft summer" while leaning warm. That girl who has "Neutral-Warm" (Light Spring), we have similar skin. I get a tone of cool as well, yet, autumn colors always complimented me. But when I put on a foundation shade that doesn't have a yellow undertone, it doesn't match my neck. I look like a powedered donut. It's not flattering.
