Happy New Year. Here’s a tip. I seasoned my flour, for the oxtails ( used a baggie), I sprayed them lightly with oil. Air fried them 400°F for 30 minutes in the air fryer basket ( like braising them)(Breville Oven Air), then added them to the pot. And completed my recipe. I like your recipe too and plan to try it. Thank you

That looks delicious! My mother used to make an oxtail soup. I could practically smell yours. I'd like to mention that a gastroenterologist doc told me years ago that we all better start making our own stock again from good bones like oxtails to keep our digestive systems healthy. That is good food you're cooking up!

Testimony: How bone broth made my mother's blood oxygen who had covid pneumonia jump from 95 to 108 and then stabilized to 98. My 70 year old mother in the Philippines had covid pneumonia three months ago. She took ivermectin together with vitamin c, d, zinc and her pneumonia drugs and in 3 days she was cured. She didn't go to the hospital because there was no room( only private rooms were being used thus the shortage) nor did we want her confined to a gov't facility( classroom with 4 beds) for her 14 day quarantine so we decided to take her to gov't approved hotel for her 14 day quarantine which we have to pay like $70 a day as well as bringing her and my sister their food everyday because the gov't food was not good. Anyway, my province is well known for its bone broth called kansi. It's my mother's favorite and for some reason, after she got covid she craved for the soup everyday. On the first day of her hotel quarantine and the first day she took thr ivermectin, we were shocked when the oxymeter showed her blood oxygen jumped to 108 after she ate her soup. That's the only food she was eating. So yes. Our body knows what it wants and ir will crave for what it needs. Bone broth is the best.

@Carolyn: My mother would make Ox Tail soup at times when I was a child. I had forgotten all about it. When it's my turn next for Game Night at my place I'm going to make this along with a skillet of cornbread. You made it look so rich, rib sticking & delicious. Something different and enjoyable. I hope there's a butcher in my area that has fresh Ox Tails or can get them in. Really enjoyed your video. Thank you for sharing.

Oxtail soup is my favorite soup that my mom makes. I'm getting better at making it, but it's not like hers yet. Next time, I'm going to make the stock from scratch like this, but we always use green cabbage and, lately, even bok choy as the green vegetable. Never thought of using turnip greens. Hmm. Must try. It only takes us two hours to make this though. We use the pressure cooker to tenderize the oxtails, strain off the excess fat using a gravy separator, instead of waiting for the oxtail stock to cool, then transfer everything to a dutch oven to finish it off on the stove. We also prefer a "soupy" rather than stew-like consistency. Oh, and we add a pack of stew meat to the pressure cooker with the oxtails. The more meat, the merrier :)

Great recipe. I made my beef broth couple days before. My oxtail soup looks, smells, and tastes great. Thank you for your wonderful instructions. My mom used to make the poor people version of oxtail soup so not much in it, but the flavor and love was all there and your version helps me reconnect with my childhood and my mom. Thank you.
