You’re so brave. I see the beauty all around. It’s gorgeous. But all I can see is also the dangers. The rock slides. The flash floods upstream. The snakes. I would be a nervous wreck walking very far from the camp. Hope that you have a system so someone knows approximately where you are every day in case of a fall or health concern that keeps you from being able to phone out so someone can send you help in an emergency. Sadie is a soccer star! She’s such a doll!!!

I used to take the kids when they were small out walking in the desert. We discovered so many things. I even had a couple claims out around Searchlight. We had so much fun. I found many personal spaces when I camped in Laughlin NV. Close enough to shopping but far enough away for quiet, not to mention fantastic sunsets and sunrises. Cheers

"Go find your own spot", great advice. There are four spots that I found by just driving and paying attention to what's right there, if you just look. They are my "secret" hideaways and will not tell anyone where they are. But I also understand most people want the security and comradery of being around other campers. Each to their own.

Such a cool place! I came to Quartzsite this year. Next year, the fee for the LTVA handled by the Yuma, AZ BLM office, will be going from $180 to $600. I will be staying in Nevada next year...hunting out boondocking sites, too. Leave it better'n ya found it! Thanks for sharing, Carolyn. ❤

I enjoyed seeing the land in that area of Nevada, it's beautiful! I'm also curious what the object is that you found! Tracks show that it's something that gets checked regularly..interesting. Your playing with Sadie and throwing the ball got my dog watching the tv. She ran to the tv for the ball and then whined when she couldn't find Sadie behing the tv screen!
