I stuff the wafter at the bottom of the bag without anything under it, only to the sides. So when it lands and bag melts, chances are that wafter will be free at the end of the pile of pellets like yours was closest to camera.

I fond if i have the lead at the top of bag it introduces wobble into the flight of the bag when casting out. Since that ive always kept the lead at the bottom just on top of some crum.

I use pop ups in PVA bags for almost all of my PVA bag fishing and use putty to set the height of the pop up. I have the hook bait just sitting above the bed of pellets. Since making this change about 2 years ago I would say this made huge difference in catching some weary fish. In addition I only use small PVA bags,, I have tried most sizes and find small PVA bags is one mouth full which also works on weary fish. Thanks for the video.

I find the small Korda or esp solid bags a perfect size. I haven’t used bags this past year at all though but will definitely be bringing them back soon.

Residue a bad problem on pretty much all 4 bags. Seemed to b attracted to the hook and I'd not of been happy fishing like that. Didn't seem to bother him too much tho for some reason. Is it just that make if bag or are they all rubbish? Next time maybe?
@benniestander27252 жыл бұрын
Make the hole for injection right by your hook bait. There will be no lifting of the bag and perfect presentation
@carpcatcher88813 жыл бұрын
Did you peirce the bags? They looked as if they were sat up after the landed?
@CarpCraftUK3 жыл бұрын
I do normally stab my bags with a baiting needle, after watching the video back I do think I maybe forgot to pierce these ones 😳

Do you think the bag residue would put the fish off? It did seem to hang around the hook bait for a long time, I have some admittedly cheap bags but i licked the corner to stick it and it tasted like shit, I wonder if that glue taste will linger in the water
@CarpCraftUK3 жыл бұрын
It may do at first but it soon dissolves. I generally use oils in my bags I’m sure this will over power and residue smell.
@Backs4more2 жыл бұрын
Nope, I have had fish within 30 seconds of it hitting the bottom. The fish must have hit the bag before it had even really started to dissolve.

Hi, What line do you use when fishing 100yards with a bag?
@CarpCraftUK2 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, I have been using 13lb Exocet with a braid leader. But this year I’ve changed to 18lb straight through.

Hi there would it work if i just twist lick and stick rather than use pva tape. Cheers
@CarpCraftUK2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I often do this for short range cast’s. I just find you are able to get the bag tighter using pva tape
@imanishay2 жыл бұрын
@@CarpCraftUK great thanks for the reply. What i have done in the past is make my ova bag without my rig inside just a bag alone and then with a baiting needle pull my rig through so the pva bag sits on my hook its worked for me but i see everyone doing it like you so im going to give it a try i just dont have any pva tape
@CarpCraftUK2 жыл бұрын
With the lead and rig inside the bag you can be sure everything will all land in the same place, it will also cast a lot better. See how you get on.

@CarpCraftUK3 жыл бұрын
Indeed, so many benefits. Present well on most substrates, ensures you have bait around your hook bait, protects the rig. I prepare around 10 the night before to prevent faffing about in the cold 😂

Would u still use them oils in the winter. ?
@CarpCraftUK3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I generally carry a selection of oils from baitworks and also a jar of hemp oil. Then chop and change to see what suits including through winter.

I didn’t know if they would congeal in the cold ?
@CarpCraftUK3 жыл бұрын
The hot fish oil does contain a fat content so will thicken if temperatures really drop down low, the creAmino however is vegetable based and therefore alot thinner so this will suit winter fishing alot more. Hope this helps.

Out of interest why don’t ya mix your boilie crumb / dust into the pellets and just have 1 mix?
@CarpCraftUK2 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, I do often make a batch up of ready mixed baits if I’m going for a session or few days but if it’s just for a day or couple hours in the evening I keep them separate.no reason why it’s just something I’ve always done.
