If I use the dough that you have made uncooked would it float in the water? I want to use it uncooked so that I could stick a small hook inside the dough and leave it buried in the dough. If the dough floats without cooking and it stays on the hook for 10 minutes or more this would be my preferred way to fish the dough bait. Thanks for the demo, I appreciate it.

Hey Truth Sower, Thank you very much for the comment👍that is a great question. I dont think so because the heat activates the chemical process that creates the gas which gives the mixture it's bouyancy. What might work is placing the hook into the dough then boiling it🤔 Might even be able to boil mixture on hook with fishing line on it. dough should work uncooked too. Will definitely need to give it a test😁👍

Do you add additional water?

Yes, just do it slowly otherwise it will become too sticky

How long do you microwave it for
@CarpFishingtip Жыл бұрын
Hello Wayne, it depends on the microwave but i would start at 30 seconds and then rotate the boilies and go in 10 sec increments from there onwards. if they burn then start with 20secs and turn them and put them in for another 10sec increments till they are done. once you have the timing down you should be able to just rotate the boilies halfway through. Tight Lines!!!

My friend, first of all, thank you for the recipe. I made it with your recipe. My boilies float, but my boilies crack and split. I boil them for 2/3 minutes as you said, but when they come out, most of them split. I'm making a mistake somewhere, do you have any suggestions?

Hello Osman, thank you for your comment. Hmmm we would first trying cooking them Abit longer. Also is the dough maybe too dry? They should be quite moist. Let us know how you get on😁👍 tight lines🎣🎣

You are right, the dough is a little dry, I cannot prevent it from cracking even when rolling, I think there is a little too much flour, but I will solve this problem and I will write to you here, thank you very much again.

No problem 👍 yes that's correct it needs to be more moist👍 it shouldn't be cracking when you roll it.

Try kneading the dough really good before you boil them. I had the same problem and I think it was just folds or layers in my ball of dough that showed up when I boiled them. Knead them a little bit more and see if it helps you it did for me

What temp and how long to bake?
@CarpFishingtip3 жыл бұрын
Hello Doug thbky out for the comment. I set the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. And time I just eye balled it. Once the bookies are tough enough you should take them out. Enjoy making your own bookies👍😁 check out this video where we used similar recipe but boilied boilies. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6ezpJ-tqs2teLc just bear in mind that the citric acid and bicard makes the boilies swell up.

Why float wgat you boiled?
@CarpFishingtip4 жыл бұрын
Hello Olivér thanks for commenting😁 good question 🤔 it was our attempt at creating pop-up boilies from off the baking shelf products. So those boilies float even though they have no cork or glass beads in them. They don't float forever like pop-ups do but they do work for an hour or two. The only problem we found is that the boilies expand so you need to make them smaller than you want them so they expand to roughly the right size. Hope that helps👍😁

If you take a look at one of our later videos we made pop-ups/floating boilies and it was interesting to see the carp try eat them as they were too big for the carp's mouths. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6ezpJ-tqs2teLc
