Note: For the popups, make the dough layer as thin as possible. If too much dough is used, it will weigh down the cork and they won't float.

I like the drying example you gave here, I haven't been letting mine dry long enough and get tougher for better 'hang time' on the hair. The corks are something I'll be including w/my next batch as well, awesome. Thanks Tom!!

I tried just baking them in the oven worked well without cork n they floated really good. Try it out it worked for me.

Good if you're going to use them right away. A couple weeks in the freezer and they won't float anymore.

Hey Tom, I used your hair rigs along with your tigers nuts caught around 8 carp with my daughter I also compared your hooks to the Amazon YOTO brand and yours seem to hold carp much better. Keep up the good work.

Great tutorial tom! Looks like your set for a while with that batch. Got out an fished a shallow lake with 13' max depth during the eclipse . The carp were going air Bourne almost like the spawn. And we're feeding heavy in 6' of warter. Got a week of 75 degree Temps coming next week and expect the bigger lakes to get going. Shouldn't be long for you now.

I hope you're right. I've been out a few times but no carp on the bank yet. Good luck out there!

How are you? Can you please clarify the materials and quantity required to make floating bait for catching carp in the winter? I would be grateful to you.

GM Tom i made this receipt and cut up the cork like you did. Unfortunately none of the pop ups floated after i cooked them for 4 minutes. Any idea why they didn't float?

As much as you’ve been using just tiger nuts as your hookbaits, are you going to start using boilies instead?

I'm going to be experimenting with them a little more this year, we'll see how long that lasts.

@@OutsidewithTom I watched most of your videos, the tiger nuts were your 99% carp bait, hope we will see you use these boilies for new videos.

Never made boilies. This is a great tutorial video. Question: is it harmful for the carp to eat the cork? Thanks for your videos.

Nope, it's just a little piece of tree bark. Thanks for watching.

I tried many baits and boilie making. I've been less successful with boilies than tiger nuts, pop-ups, fake corn, frozen fruit, etc. I use the same basic pack bait that you do. (Just need to train the carp in my lake for boilies. I'm one of two fisherpersons that fish for them.) Your video with gummy candy amused me. I have some gummies drying out a bit on my desk. :) Another thing I'm trying is nuts - almonds, walnuts and brazil nuts. (I got a can of mixed nuts for Christmas.) I drilled them and I think they will stay on the hair well. Have you ever tried other nuts? I have a good feeling about them. My doctor wants me to eat almonds. I'd rather use them for bait. ;)

I made the boilies mainly to target Grass Carp and BM Buffalo in the river, a little experiment I'm trying. I think you'll catch carp on any/all of the things you mentioned, good luck out there!

Hey bro can you write the names of all the ingredients I don't know your language
@leepullon11473 ай бұрын
Good vid mate! Just a thought but maybe try putting the cork in the food blender so it makes smaller particles then knead the cork powder into the boilies you want to make pop up??? and I've heard somewhere that if you microwave about 30 (14mm) boilies for about 2 mins instead of boiling them they might pop up also!

Great video, Tom. I liked all of it specially the hand rolling because you did not need any special bookie making equipment. Did you ever think of grinding up the egg shells and putting them into the liquid? Also when you freeze them to get them to last longer, do you freeze them in your usual zip lock bag I see you use all the time?
