Couldn’t agree with you more regarding the 4c. I had a ‘15 that unfortunately was totaled. I bought a 911 (wife loved it), I hated it; too refined and frankly boring. Bought a new ‘19 4c Spider last month, and very happy. It’s a special car that is always fun to drive even when simply running errands. And that is the beauty of the 4c, it’s fast with super short gearing and very exciting at non go-directly-to-jail speeds.

Man when I was in my twenty's I bought a new 1987 Toyota P/U. It was bone stock, no power nothing, no A/C. I had that truck for 20 years. I bought a used 2005 Mercedes C230, which I still have. I just bought a used 2011 Audi R8 v10 spyder last November. I am 60 yrs old now. I'm pretty sure that's it for me. Four cars my entire life.

I’m 20 and have owned 4 cars so far (all of which I payed under $6,000 for) working a regular job. My first car was a 1996 Chevy Tahoe, which my mom has now because I bought my Mini and gave that to her. Drove my mini for a year and a half and stumbled across a 1960 ford F100. Being tinkering on that and drive it every once and a while while I daily drove the mini. Then just recently I came across a 2004 Lexus RX330 which I now daily drive. I’ve been debating on selling all 3 of my vehicles and getting one really nice car. I’ve had my eye on 2016-2018 Lexus IS350s and Lexus RC350s both in AWD. What should I do? Any car suggestions?

"If you want a mid-engine car to daily drive, an Audi R8 is your best choice." I can see why you come to that conclusion because you didn't own it for long enough to see anything go wrong with it. If you had to repairs, I wonder if you would have a different opinion, since you seem to care about the cost of ownership of your vehicles. In my eyes, not very much is going to beat an MR2 or an NSX in that category (both much more simple and parts are cheaper). I would pick an MR2, as I own and have worked on a Celica GT with the 5sfe engine (same as 2nd gen MR2 base) and I would feel confident getting dirty with it.
