Carrera Slot Car Losing Power at Certain Parts of Track

New to slot cars, just purchased Carrera Go, no problems thus far but I’m learning as much as I can and I’m going to file this video under troubleshooting.

Hi Saad. What is the unit you are measuring between the tracks? Is it the resistance you are measuring?

Firstly we're talking of Carrera Go!!! slotcars track, let's avoid an heartache to whom own a Carrera track worth some hundreds euros. Second, Kirchoff docet! Through the entire circuit flows the same current. Clean the track, I'm sure spotted dirt spots, dielectric, that avoids multimeter, then contacts, to shortcircuit

Hey thanks! Finally a simple fix for loss of power in my track. I'm heading downstairs with my multimeter right now! Could it also be that the further away from the power source you get, the weaker the power? Great video, thanks again, Mark from Oregon

Mark Abolofia there shouldn’t be any loss of power if connections are good.

Resistance between tracks must be infinite. Not high, infinite

I have replaced the brushes on one of the cars correctly and there is still no power? The other car works fine. Do you know why? Thanks

Probably the motor is gone!! Just to make sure this non working car doesn’t work when you swap the track either? If so it’s most probably motor..

Are the contacts below the car clean? If not, please do that. If that doesn't fix it, without the multimeter, perhaps just do what I did to all the contacts/connections...

Each controller sends electrical signal to one track. Are both cars on separate tracks ?
