Proof positive why Carrie Fisher has for years been one of Hollywood's go-to people to "fix" scripts.
@spongeboy19859 жыл бұрын
+Ira ProV doctoring scripts doesn't involve fixing dialouge. its making sure the pacing of the film is smooth and scenes don't drag on too long. They essentially trim the fat.

+Brian Rommel Wikipedia says she was hired to polish the dialogue for the SW prequel scripts.

+Ira ProV Calm your tits, chum. Crawling up George's rectum won't get you any money. [edit: And I fail to see how questioning George Lucas's ability to write a decent script makes me a "fanatic". He's an imaginative storyteller. He's not a good scriptwriter though.]
@ClayMann9 жыл бұрын
+Brian Rommel and here I think is the biggest problem with big budget action movies. They're never allowed room to breathe. Having just watched Season 1 and 2 of Fargo, It's really fresh in my mind how pacing doesn't have to always be driven, scenes can be so much more powerful slowing them down, building tension and so on and so on. Interstellar was a great example of a movie allowed to breathe but I think a lot of dumb people hated it for that.

Carrie was two steps ahead of her the entire interview. Effortlessly hilarious & smart & playfully honest without being cruel. The best kind of humour. The interviewer handled her really well, she could have gotten defensive but she realised Carrie was just playing with her & played along with her & just let her talk. The best interviewers are the ones who don't love the sound of their own voices. Often when people are eccentric or random interviewers can be condescending but this interview was a joy to listen too. Also, Gary is beyond adorable RIP CARRIE x

"The interviewer is over 40 and looks that good?!" People, calm down. Yes, she looks amazing, however, some of that is due to makeup, lighting, and other forms of media magic. That's not in order to diminish her or insult her or anything, I'm just saying that not all of her beauty is naturally gained. Most, if not all of you, could pull this look off with the right amount of money, time, and resources.

+S.A.M. i agree. gotta say though i hate how everyone is praising her for how she looks and saying it's because she "takes care of herself." a huge amount of effort goes into looking like that, and i hate how women are expected to put in labor to look a certain way and if they do anything less they must just "not be taking care" of themselves.
