You did not see the end. Carrie was crying. She said in an interview that the Holy Spirit took over during the guitar solo and she did not even remember finishing the song. This is one of the best renditions out there.

Too bad she wont listen to the word of God, when He said homosexuality is an abomination. Also, she doesnt pay any attention to the Ten Commandments either, where it says that murder is a sin. Carrie supports both homosexuality AND abortion.

I will never forget watching that performance when it first aired!! The performance gave me chills, not only because of the incredible talent displayed but that it was being broadcast on the secular, national CBS station. I could literally feel the holy spirit touching souls that just happen to be watching that show on that particular night!! It was powerful then and powerful now! ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Wynonna is a historically amazing country vocalist. The Judd’s (the beautiful redheads in the front row), was the top duo country group of the 80’s and 90’s, a Mother and Daughter team. A must “witness”: Wynonna - I Can Only Imagine. Her passion for the Lord will move you to tears.

This is one of my favorite gospel songs. When I was saved in a little Baptist church, they sang this song. I was with my grandmother, and I could hear her singing her heart out to God. Even tho she is no longer in this world, she is singing this song in heaven. Every time I hear anyone sing this. I STILL hear her fragile, sweet voice singing her praise of how great God is. I know some day I will be singing this song with her again! Praise the Lord Jesus!

I have to double down on requesting the version of Go Rest High on that Mountain from the funeral service for George Jones. The pain in Vince's voice and guitar and the loving humanity of his dear friend, Patty Loveless, supporting him through the rough part will reach out through the screen and touch you, as it has so many others.

It is inspirational, in a totally different way. And Vince is a star in his own right He has a voice like a angel as proven in his biggest hit 'Go rest high on that mountain' which I have heard at a ton of funerals. Just beautiful.

Kathy here - I think I recommended this one to you. It is my favorite hymn and my mother used to sing it in church, and then I joined in when I was old enough to be part of the choir. But then you have Carrie Underwood singing and Vince Gill accompanying her, as he is a great country singer in his own right. His wife is a gospel singer, and they often sing together. And to see the audience start a standing ovation before she is even done with the song. And Carrie is a very religious person, so when she sings a song like this, you can tell in this performance she believes what she is singing. And yes, Vince can make that guitar talk, sing. Thank you for such a thoughtful reaction. Have a blessed day.

So I have lots to say! That is Carrie Underwood. She started her career winning American Idol. Alot of the country supersatars used to give Carrier Underwood a lot of crap for trying to sing in the country genre after winning American Idol. This particular performance was at the American Country Music Award show and most of the people in the audience are famous country superstars in their own right. And they were standing for Carrie!!!! I guess they were eating their own words that night!! Also, anytime the audience is standing before the song has even finished you know you are witnessing something TRULY SPECIAL!!!! Vince Gill is not only a famous & fabulous singer he is one of the best guitar players also!!! TRULY SPECTACULAR performance!!!!

I watch your reactions often because, like myself, you are a lovely Christian couple, I am a devoted Christian (Catholic) woman. When I go to Mass on Sunday, I pose this question to you, when Hymns are sung are there pauses to comment on the choir? I feel this beautiful Hymn (as we call Gospel songs) are sacred and like The National Anthem should NEVER be paused to comment. Comments should be after the sacred song is over. This is just one opinion of a 63 year old woman. Stay Blessed!!!
