This is crazy this is my frist time ever hearing about a Carrier411 These people need to be stop .. trucker need to come together if you guys don't come together. trucker going to be hurts in the long run, why is there always some kind of company program thats for everybody else's except for independent owners operator such as our self. We go through so much as a trucker especially as a owner operator, we have to fight for everything out here, these brokers take so much more money in there pockets its a shame.

Not sure if anyone caught it but, Andrew talks about reading through freightguards and deciding if they are "ticky tocky". Then Darren claims they spend an enormous amount of time vetting freightgard reports for suspected inaccuracies or invalid complaints on a carrier. Hmmm. Can't have both going on. I don't believe Darren is actually doing any vetting.

The government should broker all freight for a small fee with transparency. Like collect 1% -5% of of whatever the bid is. Have all companies post freight on to a .gov website. Allow shippers to make their qualifications known and either set a price or allow bidding. End brokers stealing from carriers, stop double booking and make the rates transparent end to end. I hope Trumps admin gut section 230 and freight guard gets sued into oblivion.

Call your congressman and pressure them to support Trumps admin in gutting section 230 of the Communication Decency Act. If this section is gutted then freight guard would either shut down next day or be sued into oblivion. Even if you don’t support Trump, please do what you can to show support and put pressure on your local congressman to support it. This would hold the platform responsible.

This was like watching MSNBC interview Harris! The man said. "Carriers have no reason to call us! "We are like Switzerland. "We are neutral." Nothing neutral about talking to one side and not getting both sides of the story. Not saying you should call the carrier I'm simply saying if you're neutral like Switzerland you should be willing to hear both sides. You should be ashamed of yourself for not pressing them harder and asking tough questions. Hope you enjoyed the golf game after the interview. Disgusting how you asked softball questions. MSNBC should hire you. Wait, musk would fire you!!!!!

A brokerage with ONE employee will not have the time to do the "due diligence" and ability to vett a carrier. So the broker COMPLETELY relies on the info on Carrier411. They rely on it (truthful or not) to do the work of that second employee that COULD MAKE SOME FREAKING PHONE CALLS!!!! The fact that Darren is wearing sandals says all we need to know...
@VeteranLogisticsLLC
@VeteranLogisticsLLC Күн бұрын
If you watched the video to the end, you'll hear me explain that my company is niche and focused on JIT and job site projects. We do not rely "COMPLETELY" on Carrier411, as we have at least 8 different sources or software that we use to vet carriers. We are very low volume, doing roughly 20 truckloads per week. Many of those shipments are with carriers that we already have established relationships with. Even if we used a new carrier for every single load, that would be 4 carriers per day split between 2 people (myself and my employee), for a total maximum of 2 carriers each. Would you mind explaining how each person would not have the time to do enough due diligence for up to 2 carriers per day?

@@VeteranLogisticsLLC What do you have to gain by advocating for this leech of the industry, other than similar ethical standards? If there's money to be made from it, he will stab you in the back and walk away, because he represents brokers that have a money-is-everything mentality. These people are con-artists. Every driver should read or listen to the book. “Confessions of a freight broker.” This is how these clowns on this channel and interview think of carriers and drivers.
@VeteranLogisticsLLC

I was licensed to drive up to 10 ton trucks in the Army. The largest truck I drove in combat was the first generation MRAPs. I drove where the roads exploded, and was medevac'd out of Iraq after being injured by one of the many IEDs that hit my trucks. After the Army, I obtained a business degree and got my start in the industry dispatching and planning for bulk tanker trucks of liquid nitrogen/oxygen/argon. I then took a detour and was in the customer/shipper seat working with brokers and carriers directly to ship injection molding machines all across North America. From there I worked outside sales for a regional LTL carrier, with full truckload brokerage and national LTL sales later being added to my responsibilities. I started a new position a week before COVID hit, which did not come to full fruition. I then started my own company as an agency for a brokerage, and after about 3 years of experience doing that I started my own brokerage. I have customer and carrier relationships that I have cultivated over my 10 year career in logistics. Just as I have visited my customers' docks, I have visited carriers to put a face to the voice on the phone and learn about their operations. I take care of carriers with TONUs, detention, and other accessorials when applicable. It is unfortunate that you have had bad experiences in this industry, but that does not give you the justification to call someone you know nothing about a "con-artist", a "clown", or make assumptions about what they may or may not "think of carriers and drivers".

Completely BS. Carrier 411 needs to be adjusted. Brokers have way too much power now. Any broker can get into his feelings and file a freightgaurd on a carrier and force them to shut down. I'm also glad brokers that do that are followed with lawsuits. P.s. ALL CARRIERS HATE carrier 411

It was actually just an unattractive lane with a short time frame to cover, and I believe we were paying roughly $200 *OVER* the average rate at the time (per DAT). This was only a few months ago and we were paying over $3/mile on it. The carrier had 25 trucks reported and an authority around 5 years old, with no derogatory information that we could find at the time. They were also based out of the Chicagoland area, which is where the load was picking up. I hope that clears things up for you.

@VeteranLogisticsLLC I'd love to believe you, but my drivers and I have been on the receiving end of brokers' bull too many times. You lie customers to contract freight you can't cover and price out the people taking all the risk. You lie to carriers to pocket a larger portion, then add claims to pocket more. If we question the charges and request the transaction records, you freightguard us for deceptive business practices and trying to steal your customers. Outside of lawsuits, there is no recourse for the carrier and I promise you when this market turns, we will remember how we've been treated.
