The equinox is 23rd September, so that's the official start of Spring. But here in NZ, I think most of us consider the unofficial start to be September 1st. Because that's around when the warming weather becomes noticeable.

Hi! I'm glad I stumbled into your channel. My family and I moved from Canada to the Philippines recently. We were so worried in the beginning because we have a 2 yo daughter and we didn't know how she'll adjust to the move. But yes, I do agree that moving countries do make us more courageous, but also adaptable and strong mentally I think. This video is a great reminder for us that we have done the right thing! Thank you.

Hi Carrie, I love your videos, I am a kiwi, born and bred, I actually found your channel from Alex's managed isolation video. I was so curious about what its like in our managed isolation facilities, we constantly hear about it on the news. I'm so glad I clicked on his video because I'm now enjoying both your channels👍 I am also a Virgo - hence your tattoo really resonates with me, I am a perfectionist which can at times drive me (and others) crazy😜 I'm really looking forward to watching your renovation series, fingers crossed you guys will drop down to level 3 on the 31st so you can move in🤞. I live in Auckland so it looks like we maybe in lockdown a lot longer which I am totally ok with, its time to reflect and its a reminder to not be complacent. Honestly unless I watched the news or spoke to my Mother in Law who lives in the UK I would sometimes forget Covid was even out there. We have been really blessed here in NZ, so however long it takes to go back to our "new normal" I will stay in my bubble. All the best Carrie, stay safe x

Thanks for sharing Carrie. I have great respect for how New Zealand has managed during this pandemic. I think it is wonderful how you have and continue to integrate yourself into your new land and culture! Here in the U.S. it has has been disturbing for me to see so many people using the inch of being to mill about in public to take the whole territory to not wanting to wear mask, abusing honor systems, not isolating when exposed to Covid, and/or people consciously going out in public and to work/school ect. when they have tested positive for Covid. Unfortunately, I see people, communities, countries, and things a lot differently due to this period it time. I am and will continue to apply science and common sense to keep myself safe. One of the gifts that I received from the pandemic is the I value protecting my peace (spirit, mind, and body). And I am willing to let go of anything that stands in opposition to my peace or jeopardizes my leaving! I truly do wish everyone safety, wellness, and peace!

I have been watching wellness and self-care vloggers for some time, and I always find it fascinating to see how each person approaches things differently. Although my question wasn't featured on this video, the questions that I have seen in this video have allowed me to gauge where my question was coming from so I can get a rough idea of where things are going, and so I would like to thank you anyway for providing this opportunity to ask our questions.

Hi Carrie :) I'm Miranda, the person who asked about your tattoo! I loveeeee the meaning of it!!! It's my wildest dream to become a travel photographer one day, so I think that is soooo cool how traveling had a huge part of it! I'm only 19, so I totally relate to how you were feeling when you were 18. Letting life be the way its going to be, and allowing things to unfold as they will, will now forever stay with me in my mind :) I've followed you for years and you're someone who I completely aspire to, so my heart literally dropped when you said my name and when I realized it was my question haha! Thank you so much from the very bottom of my heart , for always putting a huge smile on my face, making me feel so loved, and for just being you. This meant the world to me , and I'm sending you all the love in the world 💛 ps- i love the song let it be by the Beatles too ;)

This channel should be called Rich kids getting their dream because his dad is a Kiwi and they have money. Going through the process of establishing yourself in NZ is in reality for most immigrants, as it was for myself in Australia and New Zealand indentured servitude.
