Great report! You really start to appreciate the craftsmanship going into these buses, I'm sure they will serve their customers very well for a very long time. If I was in the market for a coach I'd gladly pay extra to get this level of quality, it will pay off in the long run.

How nice to see Carrus to be live and kicking. Carrus came very near the end when Scania withdaw from the Company/cooperation. Scania Carrus used to be a thing in Nordic busses for so long... So it's Volvo from now on... =)

Any reason why the camera is always pointed at the person talking and not at the things he is talking about? Otherwise than that, pretty good and interesting!

I am rather envious about your visit, not that Carrus was my first bus I ever saw but they have the nicest of the Volvo designs for sure and I would love to see the production of them too - I would like to visit the Borås Factory of the Chassis some day instead. My interests of buses and to drive them started in the very front passenger seat next to the driver when I was 5 years old going to my Grandma, it was in an very old Volvo Säffle Pancake B10MA-55 Bus that SJ/Swebus drove back then with the orange body and biege roof. I still remember that to this day, now I am driving buses almost daily myself and it is still like the dream I had when I was a kid! Love the end of this video when you pulled in the finnish friend to present him to us, and then pushed him out too haha - loved it! 😂

you have misunderstood boy:) no, to each his own, you know, but I have to say I like Arna and Vest buses the best, but as most people know, no more of these will be built in the world because they are bankrupt and not only that, but it was too expensive to buy Norwegian quality and they were out-competed in any case by Vest bus. Arna Bruk went bankrupt at the end of the 80s, the beginning of the 90s thanks to what happened to Arna was that they were unable to produce enough buses for the large contract with Oslo Sporeveier. Vest Buss had a series of beautiful and fine buses for a year. The bus that came from this factory you are on here, i.e. the Delta 2-400 series and probably 302 and 502 had a big problem with rust from what I have been told myself. But yes, it's great that we get to see behind the scenes, I hope you enjoy yourself a lot Magne
@bussmagasinet117 күн бұрын
We really miss both Arna, Vest and other Norwegian manufacturers. Today, we have to go to Finland to find similar factories still alive, building local quality

They used to be great, but sadly the last two we got to my workplace - one from Poland and one from Lundo - have had a long list of problems from the beginning. Multimedia touchscreen, power outlets not connected, faulty door locks, regeneration, consumption display, air conditioning doing whatever even if you select the fan speed manually They don't seem to care about the one story buses anymore. They're great to drive though, and the new 13 litre engine is big enough!
@bussmagasinet117 күн бұрын
Volvo ha big problems with the introduction of the 13 liter engine. Strangely enough, as you said, with the multimedia system. Still. Carrus was always better than Poland 😁
@mikaelsnare17 күн бұрын
@bussmagasinet1 I'm pretty sure they still know how to build buses, but it's the quality control that's lacking. If you pay half a million euros and you have to send it back to the factory two times the first three months. They never arrive on time, but this last one (it might actually be our last) was over three months late.

@@bussmagasinet1 nah. With age comes experience and wisdom. My start was with in kindergarten seeing the double decker Leyland Atlantean or Olympian (Alexander R) back in the 90s trundling down the road near my house towards me, that's where I started to fascinate about buses. Big, bold loud and interesting compared to the cars I had a liking. TIBS (Trans Island Bus Services) had those European style buses with very unique friendly company culture - including bringing in the Hispano Habit O405G bendy which was where I really fell in love with these vehicles. Great memories from my days 😂
